Savage Trip - Part 2

It was nice that for 1 week Matt and I got to play tourist in our new city & state which of course included a round or 2 of golf for the guys! They played a beautiful course in Golden, CO. 

 After the boys got burnt on the golf course we all met up for the Rockies vs Dodgers game!!!!

 I love going to sporting events and it was so fun being able to share that with Matt's whole family!!

 It was a beautiful night for a game complete with peanuts, beer and brats! Matt and I even for one night put on our Rockies duds!!! Go cards!

 4th of July we got the true Colorado experience.........Red Rocks! The beginning of the day I thought I literally might melt but then after a 30 minutes down pour (we hid in our cars) the weather cooled down for a perfect evening!

 We saw Smashmouth, Sugar Ray, Uncle Kracker and Blues Travelers! While the concert was going on you could see all the firework displays across the city behind the stage.....very neat!

 And yes, walking all those steps to your seat, to the bathroom, to your seat and then to your car is BRUTAL! I literally was sore the next day!!

 Red Rocks does live up to it's name, this place is really something you have to experience just once! In September Matt and I are going to see Kings of Leon.....can not wait!

Bronco Win

On Sunday we headed to Cincinnati for Matt's last Birthday present......Broncos vs Bengals!! This is our 2nd NFL game and they are really a neat experience, We had a blast!

Our seats were amazing, we were only 19 rows up...it was perfect we could see everything! I will say that the Bengals fans were not great. It was sad, they were rude, they yelled out non-stop curse words, drunk and just awful. I am not sure why people have to get that way, it's just a game? Get this......when we got there the Bengals fans behind us went and got security who then questioned us about how we are not the people who usually sit in those seats?! No crap, we got them on StubHub....they had to "inspect" our tickets to verify we were not seat stealers! SOO rude!

 The weather was perfect....upper 40s with sun, we couldn't have asked for a better day! And Cincinnati is only a little over 1 1/2 from our house so the drive isn't too much to do roundtrip in one day!

 Ok, you know how much I LOVE pro dance teams.........they were awful. So bad that the guys behind me were talking about how the girls don't even seem to be doing the same dance. They were so pretty but sadly nothing to write home about.

 It was so neat that we were watching one of the best NFL quarterbacks....Peyton! It is just awesome to say we got to watch him play!

And our Broncos WON!!! I would like to think that they won because we were cheering extra loud for them! Matt had a wonderful time and when we got home we both went to bed early to recoup from the past week of going non-stop!

World Series 2011

Friends I am going to let my pictures speak for themselves......this was one of if not THE best sporting event I have ever been to!!! The Cards crushed the Rangers 16-7 and we got to witness Pujols make history as the 3rd player to EVER hit 3 homers in ONE World Series Game! It was a magical night......I hope you enjoy my pictures! And oh ya, we paid $60 just to park our car! LOL

What a night, we got home a little after 2am! Whew!

Surprise!!!

Saturday morning since my brother is in town before his deployment my mom wanted to do some new family pictures! It was a beautiful morning in the park and perfect weather for pictures.......( Both outfits Matt is wearing was part of his Birthday presents from me....super cute I must say)

Matt and I even changed to sneak in a few of our own pictures for Christmas Cards hopefully.....

Here is my brother and his girlfriend Jordan, they wanted a few pictures together before the deployment! Which is understandable since Curtis will be gone until next June!

Marissa got a few of her own taken also! I am excited to see how they all turn out! The photographer Rachelle went to HS with my brother and I went to HS with her husband!

Here is Jordan (congrats on her blog debut....HAHA), she has been living in NYC and worked for Haper Collins (so cool) but she is actually moving back to Okc in a few weeks. It was nice to meet her and my brother seems very happy. They met during college (OBU) and reconnected over the summer!

SO then comes the moment I was waiting for ( I was on pins and needles all morning)............I told Matt I had a present for my brother but really it was for him. It was in a Christmas sack because this is his Christmas present! He is confused....

Matt is like, Oh thanks.........and then I dropped the BOMB! I told him we gotta get.......we have a drive to make and he looks at me with a 1/2 smile and I then tell him we are going to the WORLD SERIES! BOOM!

The Cardinals are his favorite team and when we were dating about 5 years ago I also surprised him with a trip to St. Louis to go a Cards game.....so this is a full circle moment! Yes! The tickets were expensive but since it was only a 3 hour drive for us to Ranger Stadium I knew this was a ONCE in a lifetime experience! I mean THE WORLD SERIES!!!!!!! If your a sports fan you know how amazing this is!

Matt still looks a little shocked huh? And I have the cheesiest "I am so glad I surprised you" grin all over my face! Gift giving is so selfish, I swear I felt better than he did!
