Home Tour #2

I Hope everyone had a wonderful Labor Day weekend.... we did!! My family was here and we had the best time, so stay tuned this week for a post or two about our weekend!! BUT right now I am gonna give you a little more home tour!!

Starting at my entryway table.... since I took this picture I have added some pumpkins and Fall flare! But of course! I love that in all the boxes I found our HUGE Pottery Barn vase that I filled with Matt's old baseballs, it looks great but it is also a great little piece of him! 

The globe is something I made.... or should I say my Mom painted it black then when my Sister-in-law Jordan came to visit she has great handwriting so she wrote our wedding verse on it (Ruth 1:6) and now when everyone visits I have them sign it like a guest book with silver sharpie.... and OH NO! I think we had too much fun this weekend to remember to have my family sign it.... DUH!!!

 We have a mudroom now which is fun and will come in handy this winter I am sure of, it's also great to keep all the dogs things!

The formal dining room is my PRIDE AND JOY....... and everyone thought I was crazy painting one wall chalkboard but I love it! I just wish my EAT marquee sign that lights up pictured better!

The rug I got from Pottery Barn Teen actually and I LOVE it, it really makes the room come together and the Mustard curtains were on sale at West Elm!

Below is an OLD ladder shelf from Target from our first home and I repurposed it into a "Bar Ladder" of sorts or a buffet and I am happy how it turned out. 

 The Chandelier is also West Elm and I did the whole room around the 3 Vintage prints on the wall... what can I say... I like color!

 Here is our kitchen ALL white just like I like! ha! It is completely open to the living room which makes cooking much more enjoyable... watching TV or chatting with guests while I cook!

 I LOVE the windows.... they look over to the hillside and sometimes while I am cooking I can watch deer on the hill! Since this picture I have changed up a few things but I will take a picture soon and post them!

 This is the cute space behind my stove which is perfect for fresh flowers and this cute vintage Oklahoma plate I found! And pie of course!!!!!!!

Here is our living room.... colorful, relaxed and lived in is what I wanted! And the dog prints are absolutely the focal pieces on the wall!!!

 This is the opposite wall where I have created a cute little seating area by the window in the living room!

 And that is Matt's new purchase our BIG TV which I LOVE too and we can't wait for winter to use our modern fireplace! I also added the large Pottery Barn leather chair to match the sectional we already had.... now we have more space so we needed another seating area!
Over all I love the living room.... it really is ME!

Our basement level is a walkout so it really isn't a basement at all and it walks about onto our patio and into our yard. Our yard came with a garden but it was full of weeds..... Matt and the Dogs took care of it for me! 

 This is our basement for now....... it is roughly an additional 900 sq feet already run for plumbing and the works.... the plan is a 5 year plan. And it will have a 5th bedroom, full bath, Wet bar and movie/rec room one day!!! We need to start saving now! haha!

Home Tour #1

The home is still a work in progress and will be for some time to come I think but I know some of you have been asking so over the next few days I am gonna show you a little home tour! I meant to take pictures with the professional camera and make it looks great but honestly I have just been too busy!

When you walk up our stairs there was a huge blank wall which has become my gallery wall of memories! On this wall is the ticket stub from our first date, our wedding invitation, family and my Oklahoma shadow box my friends made me.

 Right off that wall is the laundry room, 4th empty bedroom and then the Colorado guest room as I have been calling it! This is now our second fully furnished guest room and it is sparse but the ideas are flowing in my head already.....

 At the end of the hall is the larger guest room which is essentially the exact transplant of our guest room at the Townhome and hey... it works! But this time we added a TV with all the channels and OnDemand for our guests as well!

This is our guest bath and I like that we finally got double sinks so for instance this weekend my Mom and Sister can both wash their faces at the same time! ha!

 Lately for today is our front porch.... we have had red doors and black doors and this time I wanted to go different so I picked yellow.... or Bee to be exact! We got our front door rug custom from Pottery Barn and I love it!

The Meadows

SO many homes in Denver and in our new neighborhood you literally just stare at your next door neighbors anytime you are outside. Your backyard view is literally the 4 foot fence and then your neighbors patio! SO.. let me brag for a minute and say we are SO lucky, yes you can see the neighbors on the sides but we do not back up to any home. We back up to a foothill and on the other side of the hill is a Golf course so no ones will be built there!

 So these pictures are literally what we look at when we are outside or look outside our home. It is so neat to see all the deer!

 This little lady gets awful close to the road sometimes and she makes me nervous! But really, it is views like this that really make me feel like I am in Colorado! And on clear days from our front yard you can see the Mountains including Pikes Peak!

 We have really been enjoying eating on the patio on the evenings that Matt is home and when we have had guests stay!

 This night was literally 1 of 2 of the only weekend nights we have had alone since we moved in! HA!

 The other night we took a bike ride around the community and saw that the elementary school is literally a few blocks over from our house! It was a beautiful evening!

I promise in the coming days and stuff I will start to show you all a home tour.... but it is still a work in progress!

Guest Room Inspiration!

You Guys.... we move 1 week from Tomorrow!! EEK!!! To get me thru all this packing and the move I am keeping my eye on the prize... AKA... getting to decorate my new home! We will be adding a 2nd guest room which is exciting and I am gonna re-vamp our current guest room decor of course! haha! I made 2 boards to show you all my inspiration.... the actual bedding I have purchased but the other items... I either own, or they represent ideas I want!! I like color and I love print and I will have a Blue Guest Room and the Yellow Guest room!! I should totally make fun room keys! haha!

It's DONE!

After 2 LONG months of yelling at our lender it is finally OVER!!!!!!!
Yesterday we closed on our new home in Castle Rock! It's been weird renting for the last year and some change but it gave us the chance to really get to know Denver and where we saw ourselves building a future!
It's super weird that we closed yesterday but then just came home back to our normal life here in the Townhome. We are letting the sellers stay thru July and we actually don't have a set moving date yet! The sellers will hopefully let us know within the week so we can plan for the BIG day! Now is the UN-fun part of packing and moving but lucky us this time about 1/3 of our stuff is still boxed in our garage and storage unit!
I am going to really enjoy the Farmers Market, Pools and riding my bike around Stapleton during our last few weeks here!

New Home Inspiration

So everything is moving on as it should be with our new home here in Denver..... we practically have given our lender everything but blood. We don't have an officially closing date or move in date yet but that's ok.... we know we will be moving sometime late July! In the meantime I have been a mad "pinning" fool on Pinterest getting as much inspiration for the new home as my little heart can take! And no way.... we aren't buying all new stuff we are mostly working with what we already own but jazzing things up a bit! But I have found some amazing inspiration for things that we can do in the future too!

We are excited about our 2 story deck and look how cozy this looks.... I keep telling Matt about outdoor curtains and he thinks I am crazy....

 Our Master bedroom is so huge I will be combing it with my home office but there is also room for a reading nook.... how charming is this?

 Adorable for any weird wall in the kitchen and I love burlap/old boxes!

 I have decided on this color for the front door.... I think it's called Bee by Sherwin Williams! It screams Happy doesn't it?

 How cute is this????? But oddly I looked up old trophies on Easy and they are so pricey! But my eyes will be peeled.......

 In the future I really want to transform our drab white laundry room into a place I won't hate being and working it!

 I swear if Matt would let me we have this nook as soon as you walk into the house/hallway where out entry table will go I want to do that wall in book pages!!!!!! I mean..... amazing right?? He thinks NO... I say YES!

 This picture describes us... our colors are black, wood, red, yellow with naturals and I love everything about this... This pic is my jam!

 OH!!!!! I bought these..... the clear large one... 2 of them to be my new pendant lights in the kitchen!!! YAY!

Lastly, in our formal dining room the back wall at the end of the table and where the buffet will sit I want to paint the entire thing chalkboard... here is my inspo.........

 It is contemporary, but classic and you can do so much with it!!!!!!!! I am dead set on this!!!! With our white barn table from Pottery Barn!!!!

SO you know what all is swirling around in my brain lately.... I have to now have patience! haha!
