Thankful...

Happy Thanksgiving my friends!!! I hope that everyone is with loved ones today and enjoying great food of course! I am thankful for each and everyone of you all who stop by this blog I have....a blog filled with everything under the sun!

I am thankful for my Husband who lets me sing silly made up songs around the house to our animals....and loves me still.

I am thankful for my family who will listen to anything......we can laugh over the phone, cry, vent or just say nothing. We know we are always there for one another.

I am thankful for my In-Laws who somehow know when I need a pick-me-up and will send a text or care package my way. I am very lucky.

I am thankful for my closest friends back home who are honest, loyal, amazing and full of patience.

I am thankful for my animals.......sometimes I look at them and think I could not love anything more.

I could go on and on.....but know I am thankful for YOU!

Thankful Thursday

Today I am thankful for the wonderful time I got to have while Mom and Marissa were here. I love playing hostess, cooking for them and planning each day to ensure that they have a good time. I am so lucky to have a family that comes to visit me. Here are the snapshots from their trip, enjoy..........

Thankful Thursday

* I am thankful for all the prayers and positive thoughts everyone has sent my Granddads way. He has been moved to a rehab facility where he will get his antibiotics via IV and physical therapy.

* I am thankful for all of my animals and the love they fill my heart with.

* I am thankful that tomorrow I have a second interview, this job sounds awesome so I am hopeful but trying not to get my expectations too high (see prior posts)

* I am thankful that my friend Becky just boarded a plane and is on her way here! (Sorry if I don't post as much....follow me on FB and Instagram I am nsavage1027)

* I am thankful that this time next week my Mom and sister are coming to see me for Marissa's spring break! I love having them here....Mom and I have such a rhythm and I love it.

* I am thankful that yesterday I painted my nails, toes and plucked my eyebrows....I almost feel like a person again!

* I am thankful Matt and the hard work he is putting into his new position. He is just so smart.

Thankful for YOU!

On this Thankful Thursday I am thankful for a few things......

* Thankful that the surgeon said that Oscar can feel his back legs and has sensation in them.

* Thankful for my Mom for being my sounding board as she helped me make lists and plan for Oscar to come home.

* Thankful for all the kind thoughts and prayers.....keep them coming! This road is not going to be short.

* I am thankful for all my wonderful blog followers, I know it's hard sometimes checking in on me and seeing what craziness I am going thru but this blog helps me process life. Since I am thankful for EVERYONE who stops by I have a Thankful Thursday Give Away!

Thankful Thursday

This morning I realized that there is only 1 more Thursday left in this year, how can that be? Where did the time go? Today I want to share with you what I have been thankful for this past year. At times I have been known to be a "glass half empty" and I need to remind myself from time to time everything I have to be thankful for.
This past year I am Thankful for..............

* Family, when you are going thru things in your life your family is in the trenches with you even if they don't choose to be. Everything that I have gone thru my family has experienced also. Thank you to both "clans"!

* Becky, my friend Becky is the best one woman support system I could ever ask for. I just hope that one day I am able be there for her when she needs me like she is there for me. I am eternally grateful.

* My animals, my 4 animals love me unconditionally. My brood gives me so much joy and when I feel lost or sad I am reminded of my immense love for them. My animals make me realize just how big my heart is and even though my house will never be truly clean with them running all over the house.....but I wouldn't have it any other way.

* GPS, really....living in a new city, a new state I could never have made it around without my GPS. I am also thankful for a reliable SUV, that is one less worry for me and my family.

* Laughter! When times have been really bad and when I think nothing can be worse God has given me the gift of laughter....... (See example)
1. When my toilet overflowed filled with crap on the day of my Okc home inspection
2. When Mom and I lost my cat Bella in our hotel in St. Louis
When those things happened and I am flipping my lid I am thankful for laughter. Thankful that I laugh about it now and thankful that even though it might have been a "I am crazy" laugh during these events... it was laughter.

* I am thankful for all my girlfriends and my book club girls. We listen, we laugh, we vent and they understand.

* I am thankful that my animals made the transition in Columbus so well. I was so worried about their happiness and how they would adjust!  They are so happy to have a home with more room to run and play. And my cat, I can't believe how wonderful she has been.

* I am thankful for this blog and everyone who laughs with me, feels for me and lets me talk about everything under the sun.

* I am thankful my Mom made the 2 day drive with me to Columbus when we moved. It was absolutely horrid but we were in it together. And that might tie for worst 2 days of the year.

* I am thankful for Matt who has a good heart and a positive attitude. I am thankful that we made it thru the year. It has been the worst of our marriage but with everything we have been thru this year I am thankful we are still a we. I am ready for 2013 and hopeful things will only go up from here.

I could go on and on but those top my list! What are you thankful for in 2012?

I want to wish everyone a Happy Thanksgiving from the Sizzlin Savage's to you! I hope today is filled with loved ones, great food and maybe some relaxation! Since this is our first Thanksgiving away I am cooking the whole feast for 2!!! Wish me luck I am doing Turkey, Sweet potato souffle, green bean casserole, stuffing, rolls, pumpkin pie.....yup the whole deal!

On this peaceful Thanksgiving I am thankful for......

* My family and how they make me feel loved
* Matt's family who makes it so easy to fit into their lives since day one
* My animals, I couldn't live without them
* Friends who are supportive and know what I am going to say before I even say it.
* I am thankful for Columbus, a city that reminds me of home and I love finding new things that I love each week about this city

And lastly I am thankful for Matt, thankful that we are holding on in tough times and thankful for how Matt can always see the positive in everything even when I can't!

Today I am Thankful for.....

- The fact that the weather is in the low 90s and 80s instead of 112' like Oklahoma! Stay cool Okies and please be sure to bring your animals inside!

- I am thankful that I just finished a walk and that I have been keeping up with walking 4-5 times a week!

- I am thankful that after a migraine yesterday so far today is much better

- I am thankful that my family is coming to visit in ONE month! I am working on our itinerary as we speak!

- As always I am thankful for Matt and my animals who I love more than anything!

Thankful Thursday!

Hi Blogger World....today is a special Thankful Thursday......This morning I had the honor to help in welcoming home our Oklahoma 45th Infantry Brigade after a 13 month deployment in Afghanistan.  The ceremony was held at the National Guard Hanger at our airport........

This was such a special and humbling ceremony to be a part of and we were quickly reminded of the price of Freedom as we honored the 14 Oklahomans who did not make it home today.

We had several short speakers as the anticipation grew while loved ones waited for the soldiers grand entrance! It was a really special atmosphere.....

This is right when they opened the hanger doors and 170 (not all the brigade) soldiers marched in to cheers, tears and a standing ovation.

Below are some of the very special Oklahoma soldiers who are near to everyone's heart.......and on the 5th row stood my "Brother-in-law-to-be" Michael. We are so very proud......and even prouder that he returned home with a Purple Heart.

Here is my stunning Sister-in-law Colby shortly after being reunited with her fiance Michael! We are all so excited to have him home and we look forward to their wedding this fall!

I am excited as I look forward to the day later this year that my brother will return from his deplyment. And as always....my thoughts and prayers are with all the military serving and their family.

Thankful Thursday

So today, I once again have a migraine......I feel like I am on the verge of some sort of break down or wearing down from feeling so sick. Times like this it is very hard to be grateful or thankful as awful as it seems but I guess that is all the more reason for me to reach really far and find some things to be thankful for.....................

1. I am thankful that my new ride has a sunroof, it has been a crazy warm winter and the fresh air is....well, refreshing!

2. Nicole, last night I had dinner with an old friend whom I waited tables with also named Nicole.....and you would never know it has been so long, we didn't miss a beat!

3. My Cat, I am for real....Isabella is so wonderful and I love her so much. She likes to lay on weird things or anything new I bring into the master bedroom (her domain) ex: bags, boxes, clothes, magazine you name it, she will lay on it.....cats are silly and she makes me smile, if you don't have one your missing out!

4. Hoarders, yes the both shows on TLC & A&E- If you really want to feel good about yourself or your home watch this show. I am serious and I am very addicted. (Sorry if any of you are hoarders and I offended you but if the time comes where your water gets cut off and you are still using the bathroom in your home, you need help)

5. My friend Becky B who lovingly stood in line for 4 hours yesterday to buy our posse our opening night Hunger Games movie tickets! We are watching it where else.....the Warren Balcony, can not wait! 1 month countdown is ON!

6. Lastly, the dogs next door. I don't have a window in my office but if I roll my chair back about 6 feet I can look out a window onto the house next to our office and watch their 2 dogs lay in the grass all afternoon. Sometimes I daydream about going out and laying with them!

Today I am thankful for 2 very very different things!!! The first is......drumroll please...........

Do you see this pile? Yes, cutting up my beloved store cards was like ripping my heart out but it had to be done because...........FOUR, count it 4 cards are officially paid off. And the amount is for you to guess and me to know! LOL! But let's say it is a huge deal! Hip hip hooray!

Second, I got my boys new toys the other day since I went back to work in an office today.... and I was so lucky to catch my Ralphie in action........this video is PURE joy and if only we could all be so happy......I love him so much! Enjoy.......

* A new book that came out today called "All there is..." Which includes romantic stories of true love. I am in need of a feel good book!
* I am thankful that I have all of Matt's Valentine's Day DONE! Boom!
* I am thankful for great friends who lately let me monopolize the conversation with complaints!
* I am thankful for my animals, who I love more each day!
* I am thankful for the movie "Big Miracle" that comes out tomorrow, I can't wait! I heart animals.....yes, whales too!
* I am thankful for Ellen, everyday at 4 she brings laughs, dancing and funny video's into my life!
* I am always thankful for my family! And thankful to hear the wonderful things my brother is doing as he is deployed to a location! He is making a difference!

* I am thankful for friends and family who know and understand everything I have going on in my life currently! They are the best!

* I am thankful that this Sunday I am hosting my annual Birthday dinner for my mom! I don't feel like I have been in the kitchen much or done anything to celebrate the Holidays at my home and this will be just what I need......now, what to fix? yikes!

* I am thankful that while watching TV last night I came across White Christmas on AMC. This movie is a classic Christmas movie and boy how I love it so! This movie reminds me of my grandparents and when I was little watching this movie at their house while I spent the night! **Warm Fuzzies**

* I am thankful that I just clicked "check out" and ordered my LAST Christmas gift!!!! It was for my grandparents who are SO hard to buy for! But done, done and done!

* I am thankful for my animals, I love them so much and wouldn't know what to do without them! Their snuggles are the best!

 Hey Bloggy friends! It is Thursday which means we are thisclose to the weekend and I am thankful for a quick week! I am also thankful for a few more things today.........

* I am thankful that my cat Isabella loves Christmas so much that she is spending more time downstairs with us under the tree! When she was a baby she would climb this tree and snuggle on the "branches"! I think Christmas and this tree makes her feel young again! I just love her so much and when all my animals are in ONE room with me.....it fills my heart with warm fuzzies! (ps....she never takes great pictures but trust me she is so beautiful)

 * I am super Thankful that tomorrow night is my book club Christmas party, I have been looking forward to it all week! And don't you just have a pep in your step when you have something to look forward to?? We do a book version of Dirty Santa and then do our usual book club chit chat.....and I am reading like a mad fool to finish my current book before tomorrow night! I am very thankful for each and everyone of these ladies!

 * I am thankful that Matt and I are going to hit the road and we will be out of town for a couple days (Sunday-Tuesday)! I think when you go somewhere new during the Holidays you are getting to see that city at its best! I am thankful for a mini-break-ish during this hectic season!

 * And lastly please feel free to be jealous because I have every single Christmas gift bought.....including my mother and cousins Holiday Birthday gifts! It feels so good.....and I found some amazing deals and some perfect gifts for everyone! Yay Me!

* That we heard from my brother and that they are in port for Thanksgiving. He said he is finally adjusting to the carrier and the sea-sickness is getting better!

* I am thankful for all our troops who are over seas right now including my Brother-in-law to be!

* I am thankful for Matt and for our bright future!

* I am SO thankful for my animals, I love each of them more than you could imagine!

* I am thankful for all of my family and friends!

Today I am thankful for all my friends on blogger and facebook who wrote the sweetest comments backing me up over that awful comment that was left on my page. I appreciate each and everyone of you!

It is easier said then done.....as in "get over it, forget about it, etc".! I sadly have a feeling that I know the person who left the comment but they have still decided to remain annoumous. But once again according to them I guess being sad over the fact that my brother is out to sea is selfish. SO creepy comment leaver I will become a robot that has no feelings of my own that might confuse you.... will that make you happy?

Urgh! I swear I will get over this letting them know how much this upsets me is not the path I wanted to go down! But I am thankful for every kind comment left, you guys rock!

And..........I am thankful that I am going to see Breaking Dawn aka the wedding of the century on Saturday! YAY!!!!!
