Favorite Things Blogger Swap!

So, a few weeks ago I signed up to do a super fun Blogger Swap......where I was paired with a new blogger friend and then we both shipped each other a package with some fun stuff!!! I sent my new friend Lindsey some nail polish, a Scentsy Car Candle, a book, magazine and some popcorn....a perfect Saturday in my book! I hope she liked everything!

10 days of ME!

I have finally reached the end of a 10 day challenge that became a 20 day challenge! And how am I suppose to give you just 1 picture of myself! This was hard....do I pick one from my wedding? Do I pick a oldie but goodie of me dancing? How do you sum anything up in 1 picture? You don't..... but here is a good shot....

Why? Because I am at home, this was last Christmas which I love, I am in comfy clothes, I am opening presents from Matt and it shows how much I love my animals!

10 Days of ME!

I am almost there......today is 2 Song Day! And to be honest I don't have 2 songs that I just love, 2 songs that mean something. I know kinda weird right? So......here goes!

* Sunday Kinda Love, Etta James

This was Matt and I's first dance at our wedding.......I picked it for a few reasons....

1. I picked all the "special" songs be in the same genre......classic songs like Nat King Cole, Frank Sinatra, etc!

2. When we were dating and during our engagement I was not only working full time but dancing for the Arena Football Team as well as our NBA team and most every week Sunday was the ONLY day we spent together. I was gone more than 70 hours a week.......and you can't count being in the same arena as quality time! HA!

10 Days of ME!

Today is Three Films Day and for a HUGE movie buff like me I have no clue how to pick just 3 movies! So I tried to look back and pick 3 movies that I have watched over and over and over.....you get the jest!

Here are 3 VERY different movies I LURVE!

* Avatar!

I can remember when Matt and I went to see this for the first time, I didn't know much about it at all. And when we came out of the theater I/we were blown away. I loved this movie......it was stunning, filled with action, filled with heart and had a great message!

 * The Devil Wears Prada
I loved everything about this movie....it was funny, filled with fashion and seeing a book a loved come to life is always great! I can't even put my finger on it but I can watch this movie over and over!

 * Girls just want to have fun!
This was my first favorite movie, everything about it spoke to me. Growing up my mom would even try to hide the "tape" because she could not watch this movie another time! This is a classic and I still want to be on D-TV!

Still trucking along......

Well I am still trucking along with this pathetic attempt to finish the Blog challenge! Thankfully we are on Challenge 4: Four Books!!! First of all it is SO hard to pick just 4 of my favorite books and I am sure that after I hit publish on this post I will think about another book I should of talked about! 

Let's dive in...

* The Hunger Games

It has been awhile since I have read a book that I literally could NOT put down and that was the Hunger Games! This book consumed my life and I could not get enough! If you have not read this series.....this is a must! And of course I am ecstatic that this will soon be on the BIG screen!

 * My Name is Memory
This is about past lives and a guy who can remember his, he also remembers this woman (her soul) that he loves eternally and he tries to find her in each life. This book was also filled with history that was so vivid, I just loved this book SO much......it is one that when you are done you want to hug the book and thank it!

 * Twilight
I know I know..........but what this book did for me 4 years ago was re-ignite the fire in me that I have for books. I was always a reader but this book got me into my nightly reading routine! This book also helped to bind my book club together and I am forever grateful! I heart twilight!

 * Marley and Me
This book will always and forever be the book that made me sob like a baby..... for hours! This book touched my soul and has a place in my heart. The way John Grogan looks back and talks about what Marley meant to him at the end of the book is one of the most beautiful things I have ever read. EVER! I only hope that everyone can be touched and loved by an animal if only half as much as John and his family were. *sigh*

10 Days of ME!

Today is all about FOOD.......5 foods that I love and we all know I love FOOD!

* Cake!

I am not picky just cake....cake in any form....cupcakes, cake balls and huge slices of cake! yummmm...

 * Anything Cinnamon
Cinnamon rolls, pumpkin pie and the list could go on and on. I just love cinnamon in anything!

 * Mexican
I love chips, salsa, guacamole and the whole shebang! Who doesn't?

 * Sushi!
I love sushi and I find myself craving it.....now if it only wasn't so expensive!

 *Steak
You know there is nothing better than a perfect Med-rare filet, the way it melts in your mouth is divine. But lately I find myself conflicted about my love for cows......last Friday Matt and I went to Mickey Mantle's Steakhouse the best in town and I got fish! I am not saying I wil never say I am giving up steak for good but I am "re-evaluating"

10 days of ME!??

Well, so .....it seems that the 10 days of me is stretching out to 20 days of me! I just keep forgetting each  day to post these! So here we go with Day 6: Six Places! I am going to show you 6 places I hope to visit in my life and I think they are very reachable!

1. Fiji/Bora Bora/Maldives

I day dream about going to any of the exotic locations above and staying in these bungalows over the water! I mean swoon! 

 2. Rome
I love history..... I am dying to go and see the Colosseum in person! I want to visit all the amazing locals in Italy and to step back in time! My dream is to buy Rosette Stone to learn Italian and then go on vacation there!

 3. Fall Foliage
I want to travel thru the East coast during the fall...I want to hit up Boston, Salem to learn about the Witch trials and continue heading up north during my favorite time of year!

4. Egypt

Growing up I thought I wanted to be an archeologist (I still do) .....so I long to visit Petra, the museums holding the mummies and the Pyramids! 

 5. Alaska
I want to go visit Alaska, the landscapes that I can see on pictures or TV is breath taking! I think it would be fun to take an Alaskan Cruise and stop at all the great ports!

 6. NYC
I want to go to NYC but at Christmas time where I can imagine that I have stepped into a movie. I am sure the crowds are insane and the prices will sky rocket....but I do not care!

10 days of ME!

Today is Day 7- 7 Wants! I think when it comes to wants you can get very deep or say things that you just plain want.....so I will try to give you a little of both!!!!!

* A New Vehicle! I waiver each day on what kind of vehicle I actually want but what I know for sure is a SUV. I have a Trailblazer now that is pushing 150,000 miles! I am leaning towards a Tahoe or Yukon.....Big and all american!

* A New House! I think until you own your first home you don't know exactly what you want and here is the short list of things I want in a new home that I don't have now....... And these are not "dream" wants but realistic wants in a next home!

1. A nice master bath with a soaking tub- I haven't taken a bath in at least 10 years, something about the tub/shower combo that we have now that creeps me out. And a real shower!!!

2. A formal dining room! Now we have a eat in kitchen and we can only seat 4 people ....so we brake out a card table but I dream of a nice formal dining room where I can host people!

3. A BIG kitchen with more than 2 feet of counter space! 

3. 3 bedrooms/1 study and a covered patio

* I want to get some discipline when it comes to working out! Do you know where I can find some?

*  I want to start a animal rescue non-profit someday! I will scour the city in a large van rescuing animals from the streets! I am for real! I would love to have volunteer vets on call to help with the needs before I find the animals loving homes. 

* I want to go on a nice vacation with Matt other than the weekend trip to Denver last year for his Birthday we have not been on a vacation that was not work related SINCE our honeymoon! Pathetic!

* I want the discipline to go Vegetarian. I mean if you love all animals as much as me, I should be one without even thinking. I struggle with this because I LOVE cooking so much and I love a good steak. For now I try to be a vegetarian during the week when it is just me.....it is a start.

* I want to be blissfully happy.....Now and forever. who doesn't?

10 Days of ME!

Today is Day Eight; 8 Fears! In no particular order.........

1. Spiders- I will not even step on them! When I lived alone one time a spider was in my bedroom doorway and I froze...so I had to call my granddad who came over, flushed it and left! Whew! Close call!
2. Nightmares- I always fear that each night I will have one, I get very bad night terrors....you can not even imagine it is like a slasher flick in my head!
3. Having a wreck- I had a bad wreck a few years ago, someone came over on me while on the highway which caused me to swerve across 3 lanes and land in the guard rail. It could of been so much worse, I fear drivers coming over into my lane all the time.
4. "The Call"- I fear the call......I am 30 years old and have my Oma and Granddad who are like parents to me. I think when you still have your grandparents when you are my age you realize how lucky you are and I fear the day I will get a call notifying me otherwise. Morbid I know, but I am honest....it scares me.
5. Something happening to my animals- I literally do not know what I will do when and if something happens to them. I love them so much it hurts.
6. I always fear the next migraine. enough. said.
7. I fear the time when my brother will be deployed- I realize he lives in San Diego now and we do not see each other or talk regularly....so in that regard it will not be too different....BUT it will. No one enjoys having a loved one in a war zone!
8. Moving- many know that there is a chance that Matt and I will have to relocate next year for his job and it scares me to death. I have never lived anywhere but my happy 20 mile radius I live in now. I could go on and on about this but plain and simple....it scares me.

10 Days of ME!

Day Two: Nine LOVES!

1. My Animals......

We know I love ALL animals very much but my 4 in particular!! My dogs Abner, Oscar, Ralph and my cat Bella! I swear I love them so much it hurts.....I know some people think this is crazy and some people say to me "Just wait to you have kids you won't love them the same" Well friends.....that pisses me off! They are my children and you can not tell me any different, I love how they each have different personalities and I love spending time with them!

 2. Concerts!
I love going to concerts! The prices lately are so high I don't get to go as much as I would like but lucky me I have 2 coming up....Journey and Incubus!(Vastly different, I know) I have seen Incubus 4 times and Journey twice and I am excited to add 1 more to both. I could go on and on.... I have probably been to over 30 concerts! I will bore you all with a list one day!

 3. Books!
I LOVE books and reading! I love talking books with people and getting excited when a new book I have been looking forward to is coming out! I love reading right before bed, it is such a relaxing way to end the day!

 4. FOOD!
I love cooking, watching cooking shows and reading cooking magazines! Love love love it! Enough said!

 5. Movies!
I love going to the movies, it is such an escape and I love the whole movie experience! I mean I have said so many times "ah, I wish I lived in a movie"...silly, I know!

 6. Rusty
Sadly the 1 year Anniv. of Rusty's passing is this Sunday....I still can't believe he is gone. People may think I am crazy but it still hurts to think of him and how he is gone.....it makes my heart literally ache. I love him more each day and will miss him always! I heart Rusty!

 7. Thunder Up!
I love the Okc Thunder! I love the players, the games and the experience!!! Can't wait for the season to start on November 1st! The NBA better figure this "lock out" or whatever it is FAST!

 8. Matty!
Of course, I love Matt and he should of been #1 but these are not ranked in any order.......just the order I uploaded the pictures to blogger!  I love the time we spend together which is not much due to his crazy work schedule! I look forward to the future when he can get a more "normal" work schedule and we can enjoy the small things like eating a meal together again!

 9. TV
We all know I love my TV! So pathetic, nothing I love is "active" but at least I am honest! I love nothing more than laying on the couch after a long day and watching shows with my animals! It is pure bliss to me!
