Spring Snow

In Colorado March and April are 2 of our snowiest months and we have had a very mild Winter this year. In the past week I have woke up to a WINTER WONDERLAND twice and I LOVE IT! The ground has been pretty warm so the snow has melted in 1 day both times but it is so pretty while it lasts. 

 Ralph and Elway LOVE the snow so like a good Mommy I get all bundled up and we go play around in the snow for a bit!

 Honestly seeing the joy in their faces and running around with them is a TON of fun! Their happiness is so pure and that is hard to not have rub off on me! Look at little Elway running thru like inches! He got a work out in for sure!

When we come inside I warm him by the fire, it's so cute... I mean he is still a little baby! Then through out the rest of the day they cry at the door to go back out.

What is Abner doing while we are outside? Snuggling on the couch of course, he has never been one for snow or rain for that fact!

IT

Growing up I can remember sitting on the couch with my Mom and Dad and watching this miniseries which was BURNED into my brain. This was horrifying and amazing at the same time and all 80s kids will remember this. 

Now a million years later the remake is a movie and the trailer has been released and it is JUST as horrifying as I hoped it would be! I mean horrifying in the most amazing way possible, still set in the 80s and this looks so true to the original! I literally can not wait.......

An American in Paris

On Moms last day here in Denver we got all gussied up and went to Brunch and to see An American in Paris. I love the Denver Arts Complex, all 5+ theaters are in this beautiful breezeway and the buzz around the area is always exciting before and after shows. 

 I was also excited to have a reason to wear my super silver Anthro-knock-off skirt from H&M!!! I got a ton of compliments and it was perfect for the occasion!

 I haven't seen An American in Paris and the entire musical is told thru Dance and Ballet to be exact and it was AMAZING!! The set, the music, the costumes and the dance were so breathtaking! Mom and I both agree that this has to be one of the best musicals around, If you ever have a chance to see it.. .GO! You will thank me!

It was so nice! After that we headed home to rent a movie. That is what we did every night she was here.... we relaxed and rented a ton of movies which is right up my alley!!!!

Spring Break

 Mom likes to come over Spring Break and we pretend we are are on Spring Break too! LOL! When Mom comes I like to explore my city and do things that I wouldn't normally do on my own which is nice! One of the main things we did last week was PUPPY SNUGGLES!! That little Elway is a greedy little LOVE hog! He couldnt get enough kisses from Mom, it was so cute!

 I went to a Mummy exhibit at a museum a month or two ago I could go on and on about how much I loved it so when I saw a new Vikings Exhibit, I knew we had to go!

First Mom and I make mean Vikings don't we? You can call me Lagertha! If you don't watch Vikings on History Channel you are missing out... I LOVE IT! So it was neat to see actual Vikings artifacts!

 I mean when you take a moment to think about what these swords have seen and who may have held them, it is incredible. Truly and I love history!

On St Patty's Day I took all 3 of us to a Irish Cooking Class at one of my favorite places in Denver, Uncorked Kitchen! Matt has been very busy with work and it was nice that he was able to spend a little time with Mom and I!

 We had a ton of fun at the class and the 3 of us always seem to find ways to crack up and find fun in anything. We were all also beyond exhausted and the class fastest until late so we were a little slap happy if you know what I mean! LOL

 It's always nice to have Mom in town and pretend to be on vacation in our own city.

Closing Week

You know with Real Estate you can do like 20 small steps and only HOPE that they will amount to something substantial. And that is how it is for me being new but I am proud to say that last week I had 2 closings! I have officially been a Realtor since last July and I have had 3 closings and I will take that for sure!

My first closing was with my client Tracy and this is Tracy during her final walk thru with some fun kitchen stuff I got her for her first home! Tracy was a wonderful client who knew exactly what she wanted and made everything so easy! Congrats Tracy!

 Thursday last week my Mom was here so she came along for my second closing! It was funny this client gift was kinda heavy and she enjoyed watching me haul it thru downtown Denver in heels! LOL

This closing was very special to me because I got to help my friend Kay find her first home! Kay is so kind and I loved walking her thru this process and I also thankful to her. When a friend has your back during the stressful time of buying a home it makes everything so much better!

 Here is my cheesy picture I made Mom take at the closing office! LOL! After this closing I took Mom out to a nice lunch to celebrate!

Currently I am back to square one as far as clients go but again I will do everything I can to make it to another closing! If you know someone in Colorado I would love a referral! I will drive anywhere!!!!!!
Happy Wednesday friends.... I am actually off to get ready to head to my part time job at Evereve! In fact the whole outfit from the pic above is from there! And when Mom was here I took her and got her something fun from the store!

I am alive, these past 2 weeks have been crazy... no time to breathe! I have things to blog about but no time! My Mom arrives tomorrow thru Monday also, so if you know me then you know I ma mad cleaning the house also!

You know that Matt and I love us some SUPER Hero movies and so naturally we were very excited for Logan even though the last X-Men was a tad of a let down. Boy O Boy was this different. You can't even call this an X-Men movie, it is SO SO MUCH MORE. Hugh Jackman is incredible and you can literally feel and see the pain he is in during this movie. This movie is raw, gut wrenching, bloody and sad. At the parting shot before the movie ended I had my mouth open in awe of this movie. I know you guys are thinking ya.... right. But just check out rotten tomatoes and other reviews, you guys this is incredible. And funny side story 90% of the movie is set in a fictional 2029 Oklahoma City. SO that was fun!
But really this movie is so wonderful, I can't wait to see it again!!!!!!

Evereve

If I have ever styled you then you know my favorite store Evereve!! They are always on trend carrying brands like Free People, Hudson, Trunk and many many more! A few weeks ago when I was shopping (I have gotten to know the sales people) they said I should apply. I told them I was a Realtor and they told me they all only work 8-12 hours a week for extra money. This got me thinking.... It would be nice in between closings on homes to have extra money of mine. Money that I can spend that won't come out of our joint checking which is a WIN for both. So I applied and I start TODAY! I work 8 hours this week! I am nervous because I have a SUPER busy week but I am excited to give this a try and see if it is something on the side that might make me happy! 

And did I mention I get a discount?!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 👍🏻👍🏻

Ugh.

I am stuck in a HUGE migraine rut. Literally for the last 10 days including today I have felt sick. There is really no reason why these cycles come and go from time to time. Lately, they have been "manageable" I mean having like 3 a week that are mild... I'll take it. But these last 10 days I have also been busy so trying to deal has been tough. And the next 2 weeks are the busiest weeks I have bad in a LONG time, so I am nervous.... which doesn't help keeping migraines at bay.
I just hope that this week they will be mild, something I can manage. When I am busy and feeling really sick it is very easy for me to get down. I don't want that, but then again who does?
Anyhoo just keep me in your thoughts! I appreciate YA!!!!!!

White Wedding...

I got married PRE-PINTEREST, I know gasp!! So way back when I had to do things the old fashion way..... A wedding binder of FUN! And in true Nicole fashion I kept it! I have been going thru memories, purging and organizing lately so I pulled out some memories but got rid of the binder this week! SAD.

 But before I got rid of it I spent some time taking it all in and taking some picture for you all of course! I mean I kept EVERYTHING..... every idea, contract and list upon lists upon lists!!!!

 Here is my hand drawn reception floor plan, I mean how cute am I! LOL!! I love being organized, I love a good list and I love a hand drawn floor plan! And I still love our 3 level reception site! Our theme was "Fall in Love"

 Here was my drawings for my wedding planner/floral designer! These huge hurricanes were filled with apples and fall flowers! But ya, I never said I was good at drawing!

 And before Pinterest I would tear ideas out of magazines and this was one of my inspiration pages! And I would have a Fall wedding all over again!

 Lastly here was the "Research" on our Honeymoon, we went with Sandals and I loved it! This year is our 10 year anniversary and I am considering doing Sandals again to bring back memories. Maybe the same place or a different one maybe? We shall see, I gotta make that money first!
