National Dance Day...

Hi guys! I am writing this post on Saturday which happens to be National Dance Day! WooHoo! I will try to get a little booty shakin' in today while I clean house! The dogs lurve it when I dance....NOT! So You Think You Can Dance means it is summer.....it just can't be summer without this show! I currently don't really have out-right favorites this season but I have had some favorite dances!

First of all, I love Dave Scott and everything he choreographs! Hello Step Up's........

Second, Makenzie is absolutely stunning and she is a performer....someone who draws you in every time she steps onto the stage!

Lastly, this dance rocks! I loved this dance......this performance made me want to rewind and watch it again!

What I'm Loving Wednesday

 Hi friends! Happy Hump day.....in a few hours I am going to feel like a new woman again....I am getting my hair done today or should I say my grey covered! Yup, not only do I have blond roots that look ridic with my dark hair but I have grey in there too.....it is a lethal combo....YIKES!
I am loving some fun things today and I wouldn't be me unless they were not all SOO different!

*Tongue Bath
Ok, I pinned this on Pinerest and this just must have caught me at the right moment because I laughed so hard I cried! Maybe because I have a black cat, maybe because she likes to clean me but mostly because this is hysterical!

 * Pinterest Love
Pinterest once again fills my life with easy projects and when I pinned a "Fridge Coaster" picture I knew I had to do it. What is funny is the pin took me to a blog that talked about another blog who had this idea originally....so now this is my blog taking you to one blog who then talks about the original idea! LOL did you follow that? Me either! Here we go......I got 8 of these plastic place mats on sale at Target for $1.38 each and then I cut them to fit each shelf. They aren't held down so you can remove them to clean them!!!! Fun huh??? Here is the post I got the idea from....click HERE!

 * Closet Clean out!
Sunday I spent the day working in my closet, instead of switching out seasons I wanted to know that when I walked into my closet that everything actually fits me! Now, just because I put the other sizes in a tub doesn't mean I am saying goodbye to them.....gosh, I hope not!!! But it is nice knowing that I can eliminate the "It doesn't fit factor"!!!! Wala.........

 * Sister love
When my family was here we all went to tour the Ohio State Campus and we found the Ohio State Tri Delt house.....so we had to get out and do our pose!! I love that we are sisters xs 2!!!!

 We also walked around the OSU football stadium, it seats about 15,000 more than Oklahoma....it is HUGE! But we felt right at home on a campus that bleeds Scarlett & Grey because at OU everyone is "Sooner born and Sooner bred"!!!

* Cyrus
Ok, this year I think every single dancer on So You Think You Can Dance is beyond amazing.....really. Every week so many dances embody perfection.....But there is one dancer I LOVE.....Cyrus! Cyrus is an animator who has NEVER taken a dance class before so the fact that he can keep up with no formal training just shows that his immense talent is a gift fro God. (Also, I think he is So cute)

Here is Cyrus's performance last week with All-Star Comfort this was called "Dub-Step" and I loved every minute of this dance................


To get a better understanding of what an "Animator" is watch Cyrus's solo back from Vegas week...I mean he is UNREAL.....he literally blows my mind and I hope to see him in the next Step Up movie. (you know there will be one)

What I am Loving Wednesday...

Hi Friends!!! So today is pretty straight forward......I am Loving Step Up Revolution!!! I am loving that it comes out on July 27 and heck ya, I will be there!! I know the 4th installment....how lame right? NO! Well yes, Channing Tatum did start this franchise but where it is now is light years away.! I mean the dances look stunning....some people have a talent that I can't even wrap my head around!! These dancers have more talent in their pinky finger than I will ever have! (HA!)

Collide

Last night on the SYTYCD Results show they brought back 2 of last years dancers to perform a routine. This is Kent and Lauren dancing a Travis Wall routine and it is amazing! They are literally in sync the whole time, I feel like we rarely see a couple move this great as one!!! This dance is breath taking......

What I am loving Thursday?

Well guys I missed yesterday so this is What I am LovingWednesday the Thursday addition!!!! So without further ado......
* Jeffrey Alan Marks from Million Dollar Decorators on Bravo!
So this week was the finale of the show and I have come to the conclusion that Jeffery and his boyfriend Ross are my favorite! Ok, not only are they incredible good looking but I love their bickering, the way the dress like they fell out of a JCrew catalog and how they always make-up !!! I know, silly.....but these two deserve their own show, I would watch!

* Switched at Birth
I know I have already talked about this show but I just LOVE it! This show airs Monday on ABC Family and it gets better and better every week!!! The story is heartfelt but has enough drama to hook me!

* Mark Ballas, Dancing with the Stars
I am excited because tomorrow night I get to see Mark Ballas, Chelsea Hightower and other DWTS dancers at Riverwind Casino. They are performing a Ballroom show! AND....I have 6th row seats which is close enough to see every rhinestone sparkle! I hope to get some great pictures and I am sure I will be blown away by the dancing!

* So You Think You Can Dance!
Is BACK.....and at first I wasn't sure about the celebrity guest judges each week but it is growing on me.....Last night they had Neil Patrick Harris and I loved it he had some great insight! I don't have a favorite dancer yet because they are all so good, each week someone new stands out!

Last night was also "All Star" night when past All-Stars came back to dance with the current top 12 dancers. Twitch was back and he is one of my ALL time favorite dancers.... I have been lucky enough to see him perform twice. (One on the SYTYCD Tour and second as a Glee Live Opener)! Well last night him and Sasha did this lyrical hip hop and it BLEW me away! I love every single thing about this dance......the time period, the song, the musicality, the chemistry.....LOVE LOVE LOVE IT! Hope you enjoy this half as much as I do!

I think the dance above choreographed by the amazing "NappyTabs" really struck a chord with many people across the US, myself included. Ironically this episode of So You Think You Can Dance came on right after our President announced troop withdrawal plans. I am not going to say much about this because I do not want ANY sort of debate but I am here to remind you all a few things.......... Most people have blinders on and only hear the good news/bad news (however you take it) of the troop withdrawal plan announced by our President...... BUT what you may not know is that does NOT mean deployments stop. My brother-in-law arrived in Afghanistan this past weekend and my brother Curtis is set to deploy in a few short months. So while some troops get to start coming home they are quickly being replaced my more troops.....it is not always what it seems. So my point is we all need to still have our military on our minds, thoughts and prayers. Because while our "wonderful" news stations will (I assume) only start to show wonderful videos of troops coming home/how wonderful things are after this "announcement".....they will soon forget to show the new phase of troops that are being sent over on their deployments. Just food for thought!

Capitol A- mazing.....

So last night on So You Think You Can Dance a BALLET dancer named Alex was picked to dance with the Hip Hop God Twitch and they did the most AMAZING Hip Hop dance from NabbyTabs aka Tabitha and Napoleon.........and the song was also perfection....Lil Wayne "Get out of my head". When I saw this I was laying on the couch, I immediately sat up and felt the need to jump up and down. I MUST learn this dance.................
ps.....they got a standing ovation even from the judges!

SO if you haven't noticed my SYTYCD recaps have been missing this Fall season....reason..... I am not into it this time around, I feel like this is a summer show and now with all the good "non reality" shows back on SYTYCD just gets lost and takes up space on my DVR. It does make me sad and don't confuse this with my love for dance being any less strong but those crazy compliments from Adam Shankman will have to wait until next summer for me!

Today is my Happy 200th Post day!! I can't believe that I have posted 200 random, silly and unimportant things!! HAHA! But it is true today is my Happy 200th Post day! Yay to me! And you would think I should have something special lined up to talk about today but..i don't! You know what last night was don't you? The final 4 on So You Think You Can Dance!!! And last nights show was live from the Kodiak Theatre in Lala Land and I have to admit I missed the SYTYCD set and stage! You would also think that I would of been blown away last night because they had to "lay it all on the line" for us voters but I was not.... I thought the dances were good, just good and Evan is officially on my last nerve... the kid is cute and all but he ruined the "Nasty Boys" routine for me. Poor kid it's not his fault. But only one dance gave me chills and made my jaw drop wide open.... Jeanine's SOLO!!!! In the dance dictionary next to perfection is a video of Jeanine's solo featuring her fouette'/turn combo!!! I mean being able to stop on a dime like she did takes more control than you can ever imagine and it was so perfect I think I teared up! Here is her interview and her dance...

Well guys... how is that for a lame 200th Post?

No, I am not talking code I am talking about a MEGA post with two of my favorite things .. one is a current favorite and one an all time favorite!!! First up, So You Think You Can Dance Top 6 and before I reveal my favorite dance I want to talk about "Lil C".... I love Lil C I think he is "Buck" but but last night he was crazy and not crazy good!!! He was talking in circles, saying stupid stuff and talking entirely too much! I am not sure if they told him to stretch it out to fill the 2 hour show or if he just decided to go rogue but whatever the case Lil C I am giving you a C-!! ha!
Now on to the show, I am not gonna lie picking Brandon & Kayla's contemporary number was easy easy not only because it rocked my world but because everything else I thought was a let down. I mean don't get the wrong the other numbers were good but we are talking semi-finals people and nothing made me want to pick up the phone and text a friend because I couldn't believe how good it was?!?! The dance below is great, they have emotion, power, technique and my favorite move is towards the beginning when she is on his back and does a split in the air.... perfection!!! Speaking of perfection how about Brandon in his booty shorts? WOW, he needs to be pictured while dancing and put into a dance magazine because he has the perfect male dancers body! Maybe Brandon should call Ed from the Bachelorette and borrow his green booty shorts??

Now............SBTB...............SAVED BY THE BELL!!! This is this weeks cover of People and all sorts of emotions came flooding back to me, I mean I LOVED this show... no I don't think you are hearing me I mean I LOURVED this show more than anything. And it appears that I am going to have to kick Tiffany Amber Theissans butt because she is the ONLY one who says she is "too busy" to appear in a reunion movie??? Too busy? doing what? We should petition!!!!

SO I not only loved the show "when you wake up in the morning..........." I loved the specials like the one below when they went to Hawaii and Kelly dated the creepy older dude and they had to save Kelly's relatives place? Yes, I remember! ALOHA!!

Oh yes.... you know it I loved the college years also, the silly unrealistic college years where their "dorm" was a huge coed dream pad! HA! And their dorm advisor was the dude with the mullet? Love it!

And yes how could we forget "The Wedding" I wonder how many kids they would have now? They are so "All - American" they would prolly have 4, 2 girls and 2 boys all Blonde! ha! Oh Zack & Kelly!!!

Now, for your viewing pleasure a wonderful montage with a song we can all sing along to you know I am ..... "Friends Forever" by the Zack Attack! And you are very Welcome!

If this reunion comes true you can bet I will be first in line for tickets!!

So you think this week was a disapointment?

So I am not going to get too deep in this post because I could go on for days but this week was a HUGE let down..... Katie Holmes? They have been pumping this Tyce choreographed dance up for a month and this is what we got? Some shimmy's? a little hip action? And not only did she not sing while dancing she did not even show up to the taping? Ok some people say it was a Judy Garland tribute....why? This is SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE and her dance was CRAP! Could she of not of given us 1 turn? whatever!

The rest of the 100th episode I kept waiting to see Twitch, Benj...anyone? And what we got was the bench dance? I dunno........they should start working now on their next "Big Event"

SYTYCD - Top 10 (Updated)

When I say Top 10 this week I am referring to more than the number left.... No beating around the bush here because one dance stood out and it was more than a 10 in my book! Drum roll please........ Jeanine and Jason's contemporary routine!!!!! First of all I LOVE LOVE the choreographer Travis Walls, his talent is amazing! Now this dance had everything for me... technique, lifts, they were perfectly together and PASSION! This is one of those dances that makes me want to jump thru the screen and be in it, I loved the use of the necklace and the song was more than a perfect fit! Now, I was so excited to do this post this morning and I have been searching You Tube like a crazy women and can't find a good video yet so excuse the odd red thing on the screen but as soon as I find a better version I will replace it! Be prepared to be dazzled......

Now Jeanine oh Jeanine she is my favorite dancer (and Ade) she is soo good it is insane. I think she is cute, she has curves and is tight all at the same time and she is sooo talented she makes me sad... I mean when I watch people like her I think why couldn't I ever of had even 1/2 of her talent! Anyways, keep an eye on her she ROCKS!

Now I have to share one more video with you... this is Kayla doing her solo it was my favorite solo of the night mainly because of her song, "Rock your soul" by Elise. This song is the perfect song to dance to, it is filled with emotion and the tempo is amazing .... tons of dancers use this song and each time I hear it I fall in love....

SYTYCD - Top 12

Last night was GREAT!! And I must share with you my two favorite dances both completely different.... The first one I love because Kayla is amazing, literally she was made for dance.....

This dance got a standing ovation from the judges and it is perfection, I mean Brandon has such a gift and this dance is technically spot on and the passion hot! Love it! I want to super impose myself into this dance........

SYTYCD Week 2

Ok, to be honest I was not blown away by anyone last night.. I mean sure Kayla rocked but her partner Max not so much (on a side note I am THRILLED Brian Freedman is on I love love love him) I LOVED the first dance the Jive it was "Fun" and full of cheer but when thinking about what dance tops it for me Karla & Jonathan came to mind. This dance wowed me with a combination of things.... the choreography for one was amazing, the song poetic, the story line and the performance seemed heartfelt. So throw those things into a mixer and a beautiful contemporary will come out...

Who do I think will get the book tonight? Asuka and her partner, they just don't do it for me. Ok, now switching gears here I really think I missed my calling as a (drum roll please) Disco QUEEN!!! I loved the Disco number even though she tripped but just think back and picture me in this routine... I would rock the socks off!! (With a ton of training let me add)

Tonight I am running my friend Chelsea's wedding rehearsal in Duncan and then tomorrow I will be out of the office doing wedding stuff!! I am excited for the wedding and Chelsea is a great friend of mine who might I add will be honeymooning in Italy! Wow huh?

So each week I will be posting my favorite dance from SYTYCD and last night it was tough I really think everyone came out of the gates filled with talent and a spark!!! But one dance for me has technique, emotion, passion and was a true joy to watch. The choreography of this dance is filled with love and a love for dance! This dance is hands down my favorite of the night and this is what DANCE is all about...
