Ugh.

There are many triggers to my migraines one being the weather... barometric pressure changes are brutal for me and the past week Colorado has been in a cold/rainy weather pattern which is KILLING ME! I have had migraines on and off for the past 10 days and the past 2 days have ben brutal. Yesterday was cold, foggy and rainy.... same as today. And that is an actual description of what it is like inside my head right now. ha!
Even after I take one of my pills and it might help the pain subside.... I am in a fog, droggy and over all feel like I got hit my a bus for at least a day after. And this isn't great timing either... I scheduled my Real Estate exam ONE week from TODAY! I literally couldn't study at all yesterday because looking at the screen and reading yesterday was impossible! I swear, if it aint one thing its another. Ammm I right?
Anyhoo friends, just asking for prayers that I can break out of this cycle so I am get my brain back. I NEED to focus. Badly.
Rain Rain GO away...............

168 Hours

NO, I'm going to talk about that movie where James Franco sawed his arm off but taking 168 hours of school and 60 tests almost made me want to do that. It's not a shocking revelation that I don't like school and never have... I mean new school supplies, lunch, recess and extra curricular activities I love but that about covers it!
But..... As of yesterday I am OFFICIALLY done with Real Estate School! I am so proud of myself, it took me much longer than I wanted but life happens! I mean I really did it! And I even have a certificate to prove it! Sadly, this isn't the end of the line.... Tomorrow I will be spending all of my Saturday (Like 9 sucky hours) in a all day study cram session at the school. And then I need to really study up for the test! I hope to take my first try within the coming 10 days while it is fresh! (Good advice from my friend Rebecca)
Now, No... I am not ready....I'm not very good with tests I just pray I can narrow down everything I need to know and can somehow get that passing grade of 80% real soon!!! Then we can celebrate and contemplate "WHAT NOW"?? lol!

Faux "Fridge Clean Out" Ramen

It's Tasty Tuesday isn't it??? You know we all have a few Go-To meals that are easy and delish and for me on nights that Matt works late that is very important. Less Kitchen time for ONE = More TV for ME!! I created this Faux Ramen for a few reasons.... I love cooking Asian, I love noodles and I only had random ingredients in my fridge. Now don't be scared this recipe is tried and true, I make it at least once a week. And in fact 2 weeks ago I made a version of this for Matt and he was not looking forward to this meal at all.... but... he LOVED it! I do use Ramen packets with the seasoning packet (gasp) but hey who cares! Lets dive into this.......

Faux Fridge Clean Out Ramen for ONE (double for 2, obvs)

Need!
Ramen Packet, any flavor
Chicken Broth
1-2 Eggs
Soy Sauce
Chili Sauce or Sriracha
Any veggie, I prefer Brussel Sprouts and I always have some in my fridge! BUT you can use anything, in fact tomorrow I will use some left over Zucchini that I have! And below I had 1/2 an onion that I added to the mix!
 HOW!
*Preheat your oven to 400
*Roast whatever veggie you have with Salt, Pepper and EVOO until crisp! These only took 12-15 minutes!
 * In a pot Boil 2 cups of Chicken Broth or if you only have 1 cup leftover from something then add 1 cup water! Easy Peasy!
* Add 2 Tablespoons Soy Sauce, Seasoning packet and 1 Teaspoon of Chili sauce (or Sriracha)
* Bring this to a boil for at least 5 minutes or until your veggies are done (for timing)

**In the meantime make a 6 minute egg....... Boil water, add in 2 eggs and cook for 6 minutes for runny insides. Then careful peel and set aside!**
 * Now you are ready to add your noodles and simmer for 3-5 minutes or until done!

Lets build your bowl.......
Add all the noodles and enough of the broth to cover!
Add your veggies on one side and your sliced eggs (carefully) to the other!
Add more soy sauce to taste and WHAM!! You have easy dinner for ONE!
When I made this for Matt I knew he needed a meat so I cooked up some bacon which I crumbled into this, I also had leftover chicken once and I added that shredded to this bowl also! You really can make this your own and I swear it is delish and it really tastes complex, no one would ever know how easy this was and how you just "jazzed" up plain old ramen!!!
Take that college Ramen Noodles!

Finally...

Monday again? ha! Well, I hope everyone had a wonderful Mothers Day weekend! Matt and I had a good weekend..... well I know Matt had a great weekend, he played 3 rounds of golf in 2 days! I stayed busy doing things around the house! In between golf rounds we did get to spend a little bit of time together like Friday night we went to our favorite theater to see Captain America Civil War! We love Marvel movies that is nothing new but this one.... I LOVED! Really, this movie was FULL of action and so funny at the same time..... adding in Antman and Spiderman to the Avengers family was great plus the introduction of Black Panther.... GO SEE THIS MOVIE!!!!!!!! And yes, I am Team Captain ALL the way!
Saturday Matt and I went to visit a new church in our area called Plum Creek and we really enjoyed it! We love that they have a Saturday 4:30 service which is perfect for us, since sometimes Sunday morning is the only time we have to relax together. I can definitely see us going back, so YAY to that!
Sunday Matt woke up early to hit the golf course and then I met him at the Clubhouse for the annual Mothers Day brunch! We sat on the patio overlooking the course which is so beautiful while we drank our Mimosas! I may not be a Mom but I never say NO to brunch! It was great... who doesn't love a Brunch Buffet?? After we finished up eating Matt got back on the course for Round #3! ha
So I checked the extended forecast and it doesn't look like we will be getting another freeze so I was excited to FINALLY fix up the patio and plant a few things.....
This is my BIG 35th Birthday present from Matt, a awesome patio set and fire pit! We have a 2 story patio.... upstairs on the deck is our grill, patio table and that enters into our kitchen. Below is now our lounge seating, fire pit and our smoker as well as the walk in entry to our basement! I am loving this set and can't wait until this rain stops so we can fully enjoy this!
Upstairs we fixed up the patio furniture we already had with new cushions, umbrella and a rug that I got for my Birthday from family. And we went with a "broncos" ISH theme!
Look, last Thursday we got to have our first meal on the patio! It was kinda cool but we were determined!
I planted some flowers in our pots out front, what a difference that can make when you pull up!!
Then check out my herb planter!!! This is a cart from Ikea and I used small pot to plant all my herbs... it turned out so well and what is great is that if the weather is too bad or cold I can literally just roll this inside! Thanks to my Mom who saw this idea in a magazine!
Lastly, I ended the day with a little fire pit time, magazine reading and a glass of wine with the dogs before I started on dinner last night! Now if only the rain that we are suppose to get everyday this week will go away!!

Playoff Fever

Up near the TOP of things I miss about living in Okc is going to all the Okc Thunder Games!!! I am lucky, my parents have had season tickets since the very first Okc game!! Which by the way was o much fun! Anyhoo.... so when I knew I was going home Dad excitedly informed me I would be home for a playoff game! Yahoo!!
Playoffs are like nothing else and it's not just because you get free shirts, ha! But this was a special game this was the game we closed out Round 1 beating the Mavs!!! The energy is like nothing else!
My whole family fell in love with the NBA when I danced for The Hornets and that love has never stopped! I LOVE going to games and going with Mom and Dad... thats my favorite!
We are currently in the midst of Round 2 and our fingers are crossed!!! Matt and I have already decided if we take it all the way we WILL fly home just for a Finals Game... thats History! I flew home, what 3 years ago when we played Miami in the finals and it was the BEST! I was just sad Matt couldn't come.... so it's time!!! We can do it
This was the perfect way to end my quick trip home to OKC!! Thunder UP!

Cheers!

The main reason I went home to Okc last weekend wasn't to celebrate my Birthday, that was just an added bonus! The reason was to celebrate my baby sister at her Bridal shower! When we were in the midst of the IVF cycle I cancelled this trip because I would have had the embryo transfer a few days prior BUT the good that came out of that not happening was I could go home!
The shower was Sunday afternoon at my families church and was thrown by a few of us Bridesmaids so last minute I threw together a Photo Booth (the girlies loved it) I ordered Bridal props and had them sent to my Moms and I got the backdrop together.... plus it was great for me to break out our nice camera!
Here I am doing a test shot.... testing 1 2 3............
Here is the Bride and this post is quite fitting, today marks the 1 month till her wedding day.... day!!!
I mean it turned out SOO cute and there is nothing wrong with me beaming a little because my idea was a hit!! I uploaded all the pictures to Facebook and then had my sister share the post so all her friends could see it and tag themselves!
Marissa got a ton of fun stuff and I swear I can barely remember all of my showers, 9 years ago is a long time. And 9 years ago this little girl was only just starting High School and was my bestest and youngest Bridesmaid!
Here is my favorite picture ALL the women in my family... it was so nice sharing this day with everyone and the beaming bride!! Cheers!
So here we have the "Must Have" typical Tri Delt picture and I am pretty sure all the young girls were like who is the short old lady holding up the rear!! haha!
I was so happy to be able to not only share in this day but contribute, ONE month to the big day!!!

35 in Okc

Hey Guys!! So the next few days I have some Okc posts for ya.....my quick last minute trip was just what the doctor ordered... literally. Mostly stress free and relaxing! Although, I almost didn't make it on the plane to Okc... Denver Airport had a meltdown at security and the lines were up to 2+ hours to make it thru. Running thru the airport like a crazy person was not my finest hour!

Saturday night when I finally made it to Okc I got to celebrate turning 35 with my family and we went to the "hot new place" The Drake and I LOVED it! It's seafood but what really had me at Hello was the Hush puppies that you wrap in ham and dip into honey butter, I am literally still dreaming about them. And here are all us kiddos before dinner.... my soon to be Brother-in-law Ryan, Marissa, My SIL Jordan and my cousin Brittany!
And my top is Anthro for those of you asking!!!
After dinner we headed on down to Norman home of the Sooners and also now home to Marissa and Ryan who built a new home!! My Oma even stayed out past her bedtime to celebrate my Birthday! There is nothing better than a hug from my Oma...
Sunday morning while my parents went to church I was able to sneak away and get my Brunch on with these 2 gals!! I have the best time with these 2 and they helped make my Birthday special!
Sunday afternoon was Marissa's Bridal shower and I will do a post about that coming up but after that I headed out to have dinner with the Savages!! I was so lucky we were all about to get together last minute and over pizza makes it even better! ha!
Something I love and miss about being home and snuggle on all my fur-siblings!!! I have 3 cat-siblings whom I love and this little guy is Winnie-the-poo and he is still a baby, 7 months old!! I also have Callie and Gracie (not pictured)
Then there is my dog-sibling Betsy Ross or who I like to call Diana Ross and she is my girl! I mean look at her acting all cute begging for kisses! She misses me, I know it!
It was so special to be able to share this big Birthday with my family in Okc and thank you to everyone for fitting me in last minute, it means a lot!!!
