Hall and Oats!

Last night we celebrated my 35th Birthday a few months late thanks to my Mom and Dad.... They got me tickets to see Hall and Oats at Red Rocks! We have been lucky enough to see a total of 3 shows here at this "Bucket List" venue (Incubus and Kings of Leon). We always get there early for parking and tailgate but last nights tailgate was epic and JUST my style! Ya, I brought homemade cake to Red Rocks!!! BUT the crowd was older and all the people around us had wine, some brought SUSHI...SUSHI to a tailgate and I even heard groups of people talking about what books they are reading! I mean really I FOUND MY PEOPLE!!!!!!!!

 Lucky for me I watched the weather carefully and knew it might rain but I vastly under estimated how cold it was..... I was not warm enough in my 2 layers that is for sure! Around 8:45 when Hall and Oats took the stage the skies OPENED up.... I mean do you see the rain in the lights? It was kinda awesome!

Some people say that a Bucket List event is seeing a concert AT Red Rocks IN the pouring rain and well, CHECK!!!!! I am SOOOO glad we brought ponchos but it poured!! We had a great time singing to my oldies in the rain!! Very epic!

Hells Bells

I LOVE concerts, I always have and you can ask Matt the minute I found out AC/DC was coming to Denver I freaked! If you remember back when we were in San Fran we toured AT&T park and saw them setting up for AC/DC and I was like "If only..." and my prayers were answered!

 This was my BIG Christmas gift as well as my Valentine's Gift, these tickets were SUPER pricey but OMG were they worth every penny!  Below is Back in Black and my Senior year in High School this was the song we danced to (Pom) at our HUGE Pep Rally at the beginning of the school year, just a super neat full circle moment!

 Matt likes AC/DC but wasn't as excited as I was, this was ME all the way.... but when we left he looked at me and said this was a Top 5 concert of all time. I agree and this might have been my TOP concert ever. It was funny... the crowd was 90% men and they all looked like they crawled out of their 1980s Rock-n-Roll HOLE!

 They were selling the AC/DC devil horns and uh.... ya.... I HAD to have some. Look at me, hard core rocker! I am not sure our fancy Sushi dinner before hand fit in with the "theme" but it was such a wonderful night. I thanked Matt over and over.

 Matt and I both got our souvenir AC/DC shirts on the way out. And our favorite song they did live was prolly... Thunderstruck, we lost our minds! BUT, if I could say one thing negative I would say it was the volume of the concert. We were close.... 18 rows up in front but my ears rung until the next morning. I wish I had ear plugs and I still would of heard it fine, it was the loudest concert ever.

SO we all know I love going to concerts and I doubt I can remember them all but I thought it would be fun to list out as many as I can for ya.........And you can see they span across the board for sure!

 Destiny's Child, N*Sync, Justin Timberlake (4 times), Britney Spears (4 times), Christina Aguilara, Asleep at the Wheel, Jessica Simpson, Ashley Simpson, Olivia Newton-John. The Killers, The Strokes, Incubus (5 times), Coldplay, Michael Buble (3 times), Chicago (3 times), Kansas, Earth Wind and Fire, Rick Springfield, Huey Lewis and the News, Kings of Leon (3 times), John Mayer (2 times),  No Doubt, Sugar Ray, Blues Travelers, Imagine Dragons (2 times), Garth Brooks, AC/DC,....
I know there are more but I can't think of them now.

 Last Saturday night Matt and I had a great Date Night to end a really terrible week. A while back Matt got us tickets to see Garth Brooks and I will preface that by saying I am not a huge fan (gasp) but Matt is. We were in a suite with some of Matt's friends and I really had a great time. And let me say.... he puts on a show! I mean he truly commits and I think I enjoyed it so much because I also know what a nice person he seems like.

It was hard for me to get my mind right just days after Granddads funeral and I will admit a few songs got me, but it was nice to get out of the house and do something enjoyable!

 I had quite a few people ask about my shirt which is actually a dress!!! This was a splurge from Anthropologie last month and is sadly no longer available. I added the ankle booties and the turquoise jewelry I got on sale from Charming Charlie's and that was my take on "Cowgirl Chic". And you will be seeing this dress again for sure, I LOVED it!!!!!!!!

Thunder Up!

 On Monday night our Okc Thunder was in town to play the Nuggets and I knew we had to go!! So last minute I got us tickets off of Flash Seats and I knew they were good but we had no idea how good until we got to the arena!!! We were directly behind the Nuggets bench with FLOOR SEATS! I mean I flipped my lid! (Too bad it wasn't behind the Thunder bench)

I mean literally look how close we were and this is NOT using zoom! Since we were right behind the bench I called my parents and throughout the whole game they said they saw us sitting there!!! I mean it was the coolest!

 We heard Russell smack talk the Nuggets bench and yes, every time I yelled for my Thunder I may or may not have received some evil eyes!

 We had so much fun and our Thunder won the game! It was even more fun because it was last minute and a complete surprise that our tickets were floor seats!!!!!!

Thunder Up!!!

A few weeks ago Matt and I were super excited because Matt got tickets to see our Thunder play here in Denver for his Birthday!! I was real excited to bring my love for OKC to the Nuggets game!

 We had great seats and of course.... this wasn't like a Okc Thunder home game....... not a ton of people were there even though they did beat us!

 I just love seeing our guys play even without Durant and Westbrook who both sat court side due to injuries! I scream and yelled my little heart out....we even caught a T-shirt which we gave a to Nuggets fan in front of us!

 Thanks to Matt's parents for the great tickets.... we had a wonderful time! THUNDER UP!!!!

Cherry Creek Food and Wine Festival

2 Weekends ago Matt and I went to the Cherry Creek Food and Wine Festival and we just had the best time! It was stepping outside the box for us, going to something new without knowing anyone but this event had me at FOOD and WINE! Did you hear me say Gourmet FOOD???????

 All the restaurants in Cherry Creek participated and we got to have some really thoughtfully prepared tasting portions from them all!!! There was live music, perfect weather and we even met some new people! Next year we will dress us a tad more.....I realized this was an event in an exclusive area but we were shocked by how dressy it was! :)

 The food was AMAZING! We had everything from this delish baby Key Lime Pie to Sushi to Ribs to Pasta!!!! And the sizes were enough to fill us up!

We just had a wonderful time, the perfect Date Night!

I Love Rock n' Roll

 You know music feeds my soul, it always has..... wether I am dancing to a song, discovering a new artist or enjoying a concert. I have probably been to over 150 concerts in my life, it is just my "thing"!! My favorite genre of music is old Rock thanks to my parents, I just feel like I should have been born in the 70s! I totally missed my time!

When I saw that Don Felder (Eagles), Styx and Foreigner were coming to Denver I told Matt we HAD to go! I LOVE Foreigner, really I do!! Matt wasn't so sure about going at first and in fact I was worried he was going to be a party pooper! BUT........once he realized he knew most of the songs we had the BEST time!

We saw the concert at Fiddlers Green in Denver which is a great venue, we loved it and with the mountains and sunset in the back ground it was perfect! Can't wait to go back!

 We sat on the lawn in the back and the seats were perfect, we could kick back relax, dance and take it all in!

Really guys, this might have been one of my favorite nights since our move to Denver, so enjoyable and so much fun!
