Pickerington, Ohio

 Ok, so I live in a Suburb about 15 miles south of downtown Columbus called Pickerington. For all you Okc-ers Pickerington is comparable to Yukon or Mustang....more rural small town feel with all you need from the city around you. I love that I am 15minutes from everything....literally!
Exactly 1 mile from my house there are ALL my favorite things....Target, Barnes & Noble, Kohls AND a movie theater! It isn't the Warren but it's there and I love that!

My favorite place so far is Easton Town Center which is also about 15miles from my house. It has beautifully cobble stone streets that are lined with flowers, patios, shops and places to eat! It has everything from a H&M, Tiffany's, Sur La Table to Coach and West Elm! I just love this place..........

 While my Mom was here we headed up North near downtown to German Village. Long story short in the 1800s German and Polish immigrants settled this historic district and now it is full of authentic German fare. Something I was amazed by was how most of the buildings that are original to this "village" have been turned into the most amazing historic homes and boutiques. Since I am German and my mother was raised partly in Germany we felt right at home. I loved this place! Below is a German Restaurant that has big fans such as Martha Stewart and the Travel Channels' Man vs Food!!

 Also near downtown is this amazing place called North Market it is a indoor "farmers "market that houses everything from Jeni's Famous Ice Cream that was one of "Oprah's Favorite Things" to a butcher shop and bakery! I just loved this place. Ohio apparently has a big Amish population which I will be excited to visit one day....but even better the market sells a lot of homemade Amish food.

So guys that is about what I know so far and I wanted to share it all with you! We are also about 2 hours (give or take) from Cleveland, Cincinnati and Pittsburg!
