What I am loving Wednesday

 Hi Friends!! Here we are at Wednesday again and I just love doing the "What I am Loving Wednesday" each week!!! I find that each week I tend to get 1 or 2 new people who leave comments on my blog and I LOVE it! So HELLO...if you are new, I am so glad you stopped by!  * Beyonce is pregnant! I am not sure why I care or why am I am even happy for someone I do not know but when she performed at the VMA's and then unbuttoned her jacket to "debut" her bump....I LOVED it! I mean you could just see the joy all over her face and I thought it was so sweet! How fun, I mean who gets to tell the world they are pregnant in such an over the top way??!

 * OPI Espresso nail polish! I love this color and I only hope that it will look this good in real life! This screams FALL! I found this in Pinterest and fell in love......

 * College Game Day starts this Saturday, Go Sooners! Let me say I am not a HUGE fan of college football like most people I know but what I do love is this.........The kick off of the season to me says Fall is almost here and it is a fresh start!! Do you find that you always think of time in semesters? Even when you are done with school? I do! I also enjoy Matt watching the game while I am in the kitchen making something fun for us to enjoy....a 2 person tailgate!

 * Fall TV kicks off in 2 weeks!!!!! I am so excited! Vampire Diaries, Parenthood and all my others start 2 weeks from today and shortly after!! I have my DVR ready to rock!

 * THREE.DAY.WEEKEND!!!!!!!!! Enough said!

Verb: Feel intense dislike or disgust for

SO, I have mentioned before how much I HATE to clean out the dishwasher as in....put the clean dishes away! I am not sure why, I think it was has something to do with the fact that this was one of my chores growing...I mean who knows?? But I do.........I actually loathe it and I will try everything to get Matt to put the dishes away. Lately my loathing has taken on a new level of hate or some might call it laziness..........are you ready for this? So you see the 1 lone white sqaure serving plate above? Weeellll.....it has been living in the dishwasher for about 1 month now. Sunday night Matt asked "what is the story with this plate?" And when I told him that I literally hate trying to find a place for it in the cabinet and that I have deicded it is going to live in the dishwasher from now on.........you should of seen his face! Bahahahaha! Sadly friends, it is true.....so until Matt braves putting the clean dishes away this bad boy will continue to live in the dishwasher and be extra squeaky clean because I am too lazy to do anything about it!

Bachelor Pad....

So.......I keep thinking why-o-why do I watch this stoopid show? It has an evil combination of driving me mad and making me mad at the same time! I have some very strong thoughts about these crazy people but my friend Traci said it best on her blog! Every Monday Traci and I watch this show via text and I LOVE it! I know, we are silly! Pinterest Recipe Showdown!

SO I have been "pinning" recipe after recipe on Pinterest (if you don't pin you should join) and yesterday I decided to finally make a few of these recipes that I have been lusting after!!!! To start how about a Cinnamon Roll Cake? Could it be a combination of two of my favorite things? Cinnamon rolls and cake?! YES!
Here is the batter ready to go into the oven after I swirled in the cinnamon/brown sugar filling!!!!

Next is a recipe that was calling my name French Breakfast Muffins!!! And did I mention that these beauties are dipped into melted butter and then coated with Cinnamon and Sugar!?? Swoon!

Here is the final product and these were SOO good! The muffin is not overly sweet which is good since the outside is super sweet! I had 2 for breakfast today!

Here is the taste testing portion of yesterday? Don't judge it's Sunday and who looks cute on Sunday? And with the 100 degree Oklahoma heat my little kitchen was about 80 degrees.....that is love using my oven in this heat! To find this recipe click HERE!

Ok, Lastly......a Wonderful Pioneer Woman recipe!! Apple Maple Pork Chops over Bacon and Cheese Grits! I will say as with all her recipes this is not a 30minute meal.....it is labor intensive but worth the wait! Here are my chops ready for me to eat!

Here are my grits and after cooking them for over an hour mine turned out a little more runny then hers did but the taste was still just as good! You can't always make everything perfect!

Books?

This book was beautifully written and so vivid I felt as though I too was in the south of France! But I am going to be honest I don't know if becasue I am in a rut or what but for me this didn't sizzle as much as it fizzled! I did read it fast because I had to know what heppend but then it came......and went! So it might be just me and this rut of mine that caused me to not fully love it like so many people have. I swear this book was reviewed in every magazine I own and they all raved about it! So I would love for someone else to read it and give me their thoughts!

What am I reading now?? The sequel to I am Number Four which I LOVED! So I am hoping this book will drag me out of my 6month long book rut!

HELP ME!!! SO keep in mind I feel like I have read everything (Hunger Games and what not) but I ask you .....what is the last book you LOVED!?? I need suggestions! SO do tell..................

Thankful Thursday

It has been too long since I did a Thankful Thursday post so I am excited to get back on it today!

* I know I say this a lot but I am SO thankful I get to work from home. I can not believe someone pays me to work in my home office while my animals snoozing on the couch....I am so lucky!

* I am thankful that tonight is the first General Meeting of the JH year and I am excited and so thankful that we are going to have such a wonderful turn out of new girls! I am lucky that I am about to get a ton of new friends!

* I am thankful for a handful of good friends who know me so well and are always there to lend an ear or laugh with me.

* I am so thankful that most nights I get to curl up on the couch with my animals and watch TV, it is blissful! There is nothing better!

Lunch Munch......

I know this is random but I had to share because I just had a wonderful lunch! I have been eating Peanut Butter and Apple sandwiches since .....forever and each time I have it I am reminded of why! Have you even eaten this? You spread the peanut butter on both sides of the bread and then add slices of apple and wham......easy, yummy and semi-healthy for you lunch! If you haven't tried this.....do so today, you will thank me later! Delish!

What I am loving Wednesday

 HI!!! Hump Day has arrivied!!! And I am loving a few things today and I am excited to share them all with you~
* My new Candies Boots!
So I know that riding boots are in style but there is 2 problems with me wanting some...
1. I wont wear them enough to pay the big bucks for the Frye boots I want!
2. Apparently I have fat calves!
So, this weekend at Khols these Candies were $45 and they fit great....so they are all mine! I need to get some dresses and jeans to wear with them now! You like?

 * The Pioneer Woman!!
I am so excited that her new Food Network show debuts this Saturday! It is so neat to know that I have met her and that she signed my cookbook.....because before long I am betting she will be even more famous than she already is!

* Delish...........

Speaking of the Pioneer Woman she posted this on her blog yesterday and I can not wait to make this......Seared Pork Chops with an apple maple topping over bacon/cheese grits! I mean wow!

 * Almost..........
I am so excited it is almost September which is practically fall!!! But I am so worried that with Oklahoma still being over 100 every day (52 days this summer) that we will miss fall and those perfect 70s fall days! **Fingers Crossed**

 * Piperlime
I love Piperlime (.com) and I have a few things on my "Wish List"
To start I saw this dress and fell in Lurve!!!!!! I need it....so who wants to buy it for me? I picture it with black tights and it is perfect for me!

Also on Piperlime this Rachel Zoe coat that makes me long for cold weather! I need it! Bad!!

 And this top.......love it!!! I hear "tie front" shirts are in style for fall and I would gladly jump on the bandwagon! Why do I love the most expensive pieces? I love this top!

 And this Elizabeth and James Maxi dress.......I love how it ties at the waist and that the sleeves have embelishments on them! This is perfect for a transition to fall.....

*Toms

So I know, I know.....everyone has these and I am JUST now jumping on the bandwagon! But after seeing so many "looks" on pinterest paired with Toms I decided I need them! I am thinking Navy to go with jeans? Thoughts? Which ones should I get?

*The Possessionista!

10 days of ME!

I have finally reached the end of a 10 day challenge that became a 20 day challenge! And how am I suppose to give you just 1 picture of myself! This was hard....do I pick one from my wedding? Do I pick a oldie but goodie of me dancing? How do you sum anything up in 1 picture? You don't..... but here is a good shot....

Why? Because I am at home, this was last Christmas which I love, I am in comfy clothes, I am opening presents from Matt and it shows how much I love my animals!
