My first date with Matt was Christmas Day 2005 followed by a Halloween engagement and then a "Fall In Love" Wedding October 27, 2007. I live in Oklahoma City, I am a Landman and have 4 animals who I adore. AND NOW the Savage's are on the move......Columbus, Ohio...here we come! I hope you enjoy my blog!!
Today at work is Halloween dress up day and I am Flo from the progressive insurance commercials! Nice to meet you all! This picture is not the best you can't see my red lips, but I wanted an easy inexpensive costume and wah-la! Flo...........
For years, Grace has watched the wolves in the woods behind her house. One yellow-eyed wolf—her wolf—is a chilling presence she can't seem to live without. Meanwhile, Sam has lived two lives: In winter, the frozen woods, the protection of the pack, and the silent company of a fearless girl. In summer, a few precious months of being human... until the cold makes him shift back again.
Now, Grace meets a yellow-eyed boy whose familiarity takes her breath away. It's her wolf. It has to be. But as winter nears, Sam must fight to stay human—or risk losing himself, and Grace, forever
I have been on a speed reading roll these past 3 weeks with some GREAT books! I started Shiver on Monday and finished the 2nd Linger last night ...I am so thankful a fellow blogger friend pointed these out to me! Her name is Bonnie and you can visit her blog by clicking HERE!
I HIGHLY enjoyed these books they kept me on the edge of my seat and they left me wanting more! And more I will get next summer as the final installment comes out and will be called Forever! These were filled with romance, blood and they transported you to the small town of Mercy Falls. These were an incredibly easy fast read and I think anyone would enjoy these books!
I have watched this video over and over and over...well you get the point! And it would be mean of me not to share this with everyone so you all can feel the same enjoyment that I have. Yes, my heart melts every single time I watch this.....I feel the need to reach out kiss this little guy ALL over, I can barely contain myself! His wittle budda belly is too much for me.......I am on cute overload!
What I am Thankful for today....
* I am thankful that finally this morning it was cold outside, I am so over the warm weather in Oklahoma and I am ready for fall. I hope we don't miss out on the leaves changing!
* I am thankful that I have a husband who spoils me with great gifts! I was thrilled with my new Coach purse but then last night I got the matching wallet. I am so lucky!
* I am thankful that after months of some planning, saving and excitement that Matt's Birthday dinner/party is finally here tomorrow! I will fill you all in on Monday as to what I have gotten him!
* I am thankful for the relaxing evening I had last night with Matt home, it was perfect!
* And lastly today I am so thankful for my Blogger friends.....I am thankful for the new friends across this country I have made via my blog and I am so thankful for the kind comments I get from everyone. I am truly grateful! Don't be shy, leave me a comment.....don't be surprised if I track you down a "follow" your blog or find you on facebook!
Have a wonderful Thursday!
So last night for our Anniversary Matt was able to get off work early for like the first time ALL year and I got to cook us a nice dinner. We also had fun plans.....we both bought a special deal on "living social" for Ballroom classes (fun) and we were going to go last night for the first time. Although we were both so excited when it came down to leaving the house we mutually decided to stay in and relax on the couch. It was perfect. I will say I was a lucky duck, Matt surprised me with another present.....the patent leather Coach wallet to match my new purse! I love it! Thanks love!
Hello, today is my 3rd Wedding Anniversary and let's take that yearly walk down memory lane together. I tried to use different pictures this year that maybe you all haven't seen yet!
In 2006 this was my proposal, amazing I know! And this picture with the flash does not do it justice! Matt did a more than wonderful job!
Since our wedding theme was "Fall in Love" we had a chocolate fountain and a "Make Your Own Smores" Bar, complete with mini burners to roast marshmallows with....
I love love loved this cake, Amy Cakes is amazing and these days you have to book a year out for a wedding and months early for Birthdays! Lucky me, she is doing all of Matt's Birthday stuff for Friday and I am so excited! I love cake! HA, You can visit her site here!
I loved my centerpieces, my wedding planner Cara did a fab job! It was classy, rustic and filled with fall colors!
We also had a Halloween Candy Buffet! This was a huge hit, I ordered tons of bulk fun Halloween candy online! Gummy Vampire teeth anyone?
So romantic with all the candles and the ice sculpture. This is one of my favorite pictures because that is Matt & me in the background! To visit my photographers website click HERE!
My dad and I.......... and no, I didn't walk down the isle to the traditional wedding march I mixed it up a bit!
I Loved our kissing balls that lined the isle!! Can't believe it was 3 years ago, in one regard it seems like yesterday but in another way I can't seem to remember this day very well at all! It is a blur in my memory...
Well, Matt times flies when your having fun! Happy 3 years love!
Hi guys, I am going to be real honest with everyone and tell you that I am feeling blue.....it is weird, like the past few weeks I am just feel blue and down in the dumps. I mean I had a wonderful weekend, this week is our anniversary and Matt's Birthday which I have been planning for so long! So I do have a ton to look forward to..... it makes no sense. And NO, don't even ask I am not preggo....I swear anytime I even have a sniffle people assume you are so NO, I will clear that up guys before you even think it. I just thought I would be honest with my blogger friends and this is the place where I share stories, thoughts and feelings so why not talk about more negative feelings? I mean life it all not roses even though people want you to think it is. This weekend when me and the girls talked about this they brought up how maybe because I have been so excited about Matt's Birthday, have this planned all out and presents bought that maybe the "high or excitement" is over for me. And that was a very good point that could be it, funny how at times friends know you better than yourself.
I do know that the past few weeks I have had one migraine after another and that is 100% a factor in this, dealing with a constant health issue like that can easily get you down and blue. I have to try to make a constant effort to not let my migraines get me down.
Well guys, I just thought I would put this out there....maybe by talking about it I will feel better. *sigh*
Hello again.....I am now going to give you all the amazing details about Saturday Night's Ghost Hunt. Let me start by saying not everyone is a believer, in fact some people are very adamant about things being fake or imagined......well, good for you but just skip this post please. I do believe, and I believe in my experiences I had and I prefer not to get into a debate with non-believers over what I am writing! Thanks!
I enjoyed the paranormal class at the beginning of the event.......we got to see past evidence, listen to different theory's on why ghosts exist and learn more about the equipment! After that we got a short dinner break before the dead time began!
Last year I went with Matt but this year I went with two girlfriends Becky & Natalie! I could not of had more fun with these two, this is something we will always remember!
Like I talked about last year this theatre is amazing, it is beautiful and full of rich history. Something that was SO neat is how this has been owned and run by 1 family since the beginning and the remaining son came and spoke to us. He gave us stories, personal experiences and informed us he believes that his parents are still here. That was so neat to hear combine him with the full moon and I think they helped encourage the paranormal activity to spike Saturday night.
I had a digital recorder with me and I just finished reviewing my audio, did I catch something?Yes, I did.....answers to questions and foot steps to validate things that we heard and experienced! So neat! We also got to experience the Ghost Box, something I have been really into learning about when the shows use them. LONG story short, it uses wave lengths and a word data base to allow spirits to speak...did it work? YES! It was amazing. We all introduced ourselves and then our guide say are you ready? And the box said "Ready"!!!
I am going to tell you somethings I experienced.......last year nothing like this happened so this time was different but oddly enough it was not scary at all. It was so cool.......
* While we were in the basement dressing rooms and the guide said "ok, can you stop doing what you are doing to me and do it to someone else" well well well......something began tapping me on the right shoulder...when I said something she revealed that was the EXACT same spot she was talking about! It felt cold, soft and so amazing! You could tell this was not threatening but I felt comfortable.
* People in our group in the main auditorium began seeing a shadow move behind everyone and shortly after while I was sitting in the seat my chair was pulled, hard enough for me to turn around and accuse the guy behind me of pulling my chair.
Those were my two personal experiences and when the evening came to a close I wanted to stay and do it again. This was so neat and I know both my friends experienced being touched and heard foot steps walking behind them! To learn more about Insight Paranormal you can click HERE! They are so great!
Hi guys, last Friday Matt & I went to see Hereafter in the Balcony of the Warren and that is always a fun time. The movie? It is very hard to explain, I liked it alot but I don't think this is for everyone. This movie is very depressing and there is not really any climax but a rather long story. So.....my honest opinion? Maybe you should wait to rent it.
Saturday morning me and the JH ladies volunteered at the City Rescue Mission and we played "Minute to Win It" with the children. The CRM is a homeless shelter that not only provides a place to live and meals but so much more. To see a cute "blup" about JH and to learn more about the mission click HERE!
I decided to not post pictures of the children on my blog for a few reasons but I will show you some of the games we put together.....the one below was a HUGE hit.......catch a pretzel with a gummy worm!!!
This one was hilarious, watching everyone use their face to move a oreo to your mouth....all the kids were walking around with oreo on their face all morning!
This was a huge success....and this is what I do, I put together all volunteering for JH as well as the grants and service drives! I beam with pride when we make a difference and events I put together are a success! Thanks Girls!
Hi friends!! I have so much to catch you guys up on...I had an amazing weekend with some experiences at the Poncan Theatre I will NEVER forget! So hopefully this afternoon I can catch you all up on the weekend! In the meantime I will leave you with last nights supper, a extra yummy one filled with Matt's favorites as we kick off his 30th Birthday week.....
The Pioneer Woman's Lasagna may take almost 3 hours to make but it is sooo worth it! To see her recipe click HERE! And have I mentioned I make a mean Pumpkin Pie! Yumm.....I am meeting my mom at my house for some left-overs today at lunch, can't wait!
5 O'Clock!!! I have a fun weekend lined up that spills over into one of my favorite weeks of the whole year! The only thing that is standing in the way is the next 3 1/2 hours at work! HA! Tonight, Matt and I have balcony tickets to see the new Clint Eastwood movie Hereafter and that is a perfect way to kick off the weekend. Then I am very excited about tomorrow.....in the morning I am volunteering at The City Rescue Mission downtown, we will be cleaning the donation warehouse and then playing with the homeless children while hopefully brightening their day. My friend Becky came up with a great idea, we are playing "Minute To Win It" with them!!!
Tomorrow night is Stage Fright II......the TAPS Ghost hunt at the Poncan Theatre, I am going with 2 girlfriends and I can not wait!!!
Whew! Sunday I hope to relax and make a yummy Sunday Supper to kick off my favorite week.....this week includes the start of the Okc Thunder (NBA) season, our 3rd Wedding Anniversary, Matt's 30th Birthday and Halloween!!! Yippee!
I hope everyone has a wonderful weekend.........come on 5..........
I will give you the short "jest" of the book but I don't want to give anything away, I want you to be able to unfold the story without knowing much like I did.....Jacob who is finishing Vet school leaves it all behind after a terrible loss and he hitches a ride on a train, not knowing this is a traveling circus. From there this is the story of his life with the circus which is engrossing to say the least. This book will literally transport you to the early 1900s and you will be able to feel as though you are there shoveling manure with Jacob. This book did have some hard scenes for me to read regarding the circus animals but I realize it was all crucial to the story ......but that doesn't make it any easier to read. Water for Elephants has it all romance, murder and it is so easy to get emotionally invested in the lives of the characters and the animals within the circus. I loved this book and I can not wait until the movie comes out next year....
Below is the two leads Reese Witherspoon & of course Robert Pattinson who I believe is the prefect Jacob.
I highly recommend this book, I was so lost into the book and finding out what happens next that I read it in 2 days. I also am going to look into Sara's next book that is getting rave reviews Ape House.
