The wait is over...

It is Official.........today is the day!!!!!!!! I have a ton of friends who went to the Midnight show last night and said it was the best movie ever! I can not wait! Yesterday at the Moore Warren people were lined up at 8am for the midnight show....crazy!!! I am so glad that me and my gals have reserved balcony seats, no waiting in line for us! SO worth it! It is gonna be a long 3 days....we don't see the movie until Friday night!!! The only sad part is after Friday we will have to wait until NOVEMBER 2011 to see Breaking Dawn part 1!!!

Ok, I must say that last night was pretty amusing...........Thank you Justin "Rated R"!!!! I loved when he was running away while trying to allude Ali how he was like jumping shrubs to "escape", it was hysterical!! And Good luck Justin, Jessica who is waiting for you back home is yucky too!!! It is always the good looking guys who are total losers!

But.......Lookey what I found....... none other than Justin hooking up with SNOOKI!!! Gross, he is truly desperate for fame............ They are a match made in trashy heaven!

So who do I like?? Chris.......yes, Chris the landscaper who can't even be bothered enough to wear a tie or dress shoes but I like him! This picture below is not great but he is cute and nice. Do I think Ali picks him? No, I think it is either Rrrrroberto (insert me with a Spanish accent) or she chooses no one! You want the scoop? Ok Jakey and Vienna Sausage........................... the war of words have already started!!! She says Jake is a famewhore who only touched her when cameras were rolling and he says he is a loser who sleeps until 10:30 with no ambition! HA, they both win. They actually do deserve each other!

So that was my brief piece on the world of reality!!! Don't EVEN GET ME started on the "Housewives"!!!!

You will never guess what I made....

BUTTER! From scratch! I was uber impressed with myself BUT when I tell you what all it entails it will sound less impressive!
Ingredients:
1 cup Sour Cream
2 1/2 cups Heavy Cream

Directions:
* Pour both ingredients into a mixer and beat at med/high speed........what you are looking for is for the butter to separate and you are left with is buttermilk! This took me about 15 minutes or more just watching the mixer.

This is what you are looking for, little clumps of golden butter. Beware...as the clumps start to form you will need to turn the speed down to prevent splashing!

* Next up...scoop out butter and place into a double lined cheese cloth. (I found a package at homeland) You can toss the buttermilk or save it to be used in a recipe!

* Twist the top of the cloth shut and place into a ice bath. Gently squeeze to allow the extra buttermilk to leave.

* Place the butter in a bowl, sprinkle the top with sea salt and serve!!!

We used it on the French bread to go with our spaghetti!!! It was soo good, afterwards refrigerate!

In Mourning....

After I read a book that I just LOVE I kind of mourn it......I am sad it is over and sad the characters are no longer in my life. That is what happened with "My name is memory" the book I finished 2 weeks ago. Since then I have tried to start 3 different books but nothing with capture my interest like "Memory" did. It makes it tough, the bar is set too high! BUT....I started a new book Friday night that is #7 on the NY Times best seller list and I am hoping this is the book to get me out of my funk! Bare with me this may take me awhile it is HUGE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Here is what this book is about..........

ok, so....

ok, I debated about sharing this with the blogging world but I decided to go through with it to shed light on a topic and fill you in on the #1 stress in my life. Ok, now stay with me....I tend to ramble when telling stories...
I left my last job January 27 and landed my current job on April 15........my health insurance was cut off February 1 and my current job does not offer benefits. Also Matt is "self employed" and does not have a health plan through Farmers, he has his own separate policy.  SO, I have been without health insurance for almost 6 months now and have been trying to get coverage ever since.
 I have been denied by 3 companies (Assurant, BCBS and Farmers agent/family policy).......YES, they will cover just me for around $700 a MONTH (I am high risk and of child bearing age) but they will deny ANY and EVERYTHING pertaining to migraines. Yes, you heard me right the only reason I need coverage they are excluding. My migraine meds are $1200 A MONTH without insurance and that is not even taking into account my neurologist visits. And for the last 5 months I have begged CVS to let me purchase 1 pill ($50) at a time without insurance! So for 5 months I have been making a choice each migraine if I am going to suffer or if this is worth $50 in pain relief.
So where do I go from here? Nowhere. What about the new health stuff from Obama? That does not go into effect until 2012. I do not mean to be a "Debbie Downer" but this is heavy. Not only do I have migraines but now we are going thru money like water to get my medicine and now I am essentially being "punished" for this condition....which is in turn causes me stress, is putting stress on Matt & I ......and causing us to use our savings.
So there it is folks......this is my life.

Meet Tammy

SO above is Tammy, she lives in one of my flower pots and we have grown quite fond of her. I check on her everyday to make sure she has not gone missing and I try my best to make sure my boys don't stress her out too much! Tammy recently had babies and so we alot of wittle 1inch toads hopping around the backyard as well!!! It is funny how I can get attached to creatures so easily!!!

I feel very retro..

Why the retro housewife picture you ask??? Well at work today i am wearing heels, a blue empire waist dress with pearls ....why does that matter? Would you like to know what I did today at work??? I had to plunge a toilet at work! NO JOKE........I am in the bathroom with heels and pearls plunging a toilet....I felt like a odd/ retro/ housewife! Yes, go on and picture that....it was priceless and gross.

Whats in a name?

Ok, so I call my blog "Sizzlin Savage's" but yet my web address is the 'newlwedsavages' and we are not newlyweds anymore.....so what gives?
Well, I started this blog almost 2 years ago on a whim after our wedding website expired. That site was called the 'soon to be savages' (clever i know, haha). I never thought this blog would become what it has and once you type in that web address on day one... it is what it is. So unless I pay for a domain name, which I may do one day..there is no changing it. So from here on we can say that my blog name pays homage to the place in our life when I started this adventure. I do hope this blog of mine will continue on and on and on................

Crazy Love Tour....

Last night was so much fun.....after Matt had to back out it turned into the perfect Girls Night Out!!! My good friend Susan went with me and we had a ball!! She is one rockin hot mom!

While Susan is groping Michael (ha) I am thinking "even though you are so small I still love you"

We met up and had dinner with my best friend Amanda!! I always don't realize how much I miss her until I see her!!! Nothing changes!

Michael was amazing....he sounds just like his CD!!!!!

Hello friends!!! First off I am dragging butt today....I did not get in bed from the Michael Buble concert in Tulsa last night until 2am!!!!!! ARGH!!! SO tired but SOOO worth it....stay tuned I will post pictures tonight, I heart MB!
Next up, so guess what? I am now an "official" blogger on the company blog (Paradigm AdvantEdge)! And just a few seconds ago I published my first post! I am going to be talking mostly about events, openings and all things south side...I am so excited. MICHAEL BUBLE IN TULSA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am stoked, this will be my third time to see him!!! He puts on the BEST show!!!!!!!! And bonus we are going with my best friend Amanda who lives in Tulsa! We are going to eat a great meal first to give us time to catch up then we are going to go and scream like school girls at the concert!! Matt was suppose to go with me but last minute he was unable to get off work so my good friend Susan from JH is going with!! She is a GREAT concert buddy....we saw U2 and the Black Eyed Peas together!!!! Stay tuned for pictures tomorrow!

Ok, so my good friend Kelly over at the Thompson 5 inspired me to post the real me! haha! Where did this brain child come frome??? A few weeks ago the Today show ladies decided to TAKE IT ALL OFF!!! And I think they were right on point because these days when we see the beautiful movie stars I can ONLY imagine how much make up they have on!! The standards are so high and completely unreachable.....

So.........drumroll please.................HERE I AM! haha, I am pretty sure I have posted many many pictures of myself looking like this before but this time I am saying this is ME!! You see some people only post pictures of themselves looking stellar and I am not like this and to be honest I usually go as long as I can over the weekend with no make up on!! It doesn't really bother me too bad!
I will say though, I had a spray tan on here so usually I am much more pale than this!

Savage Father's Day

So for my father in law on Father's Day we all went to surprise him at the races on Saurday night in Blanchard!!! Matt & his dad were going racing but what he didn't know is that the rest of us were loading up food and heading his way! I will say that we got lost for over an hour but eventually made it in time to watch the boys race!
Below is me and my 2 sister-in-laws, Jennifer and Colby!

I thought Matt looked pretty cute....but if you look close his face is covered in dirt!!! This racing gear is his "retro gear", kinda neat because it is MS Racing......and we call it Matt Savage racing!

Ok, so my mother in law made sloppy joes (one of my favorites she makes) and look how funny.....we a crockpot plugged into her Maxima! haha, and the trunk was filled with food ....like a street cart!

This is about 10:30 when we were trying to get the guys to hustle and go home....he is so tough! ha

Two Great reviews!!!

Ok, so I have two super reviews! Let's start with movie night.....last night Matt and I went to see the A Team, and I wasn't as excited as normal to see this one but I was so wrong! This movie is over the top fun!!! It is filled with laughs, crazy action and inventive high jinks! Matt LOVED this movie and your husband/boyfriends will too.....so if you need some brownie points suggest this movie! I loved it! And while most of you will clammier over Bradley Cooper I love Liam Nesson! HA

Ok...........................NOW........My Name is Memory by Ann Brashares. Here is the "jest";

This is Time Traveler's Wife meets Twilight and this book is filled with history, love and it is filled with history! Daniel shares his past lives with us starting in Antioch 512 A.D.!!!! Last summer I urged everyone to read The Time Traveler's Wife and I was so glad my whole book club loved that novel and this summer this is the ONE!!! SO if you read this please share with me your thoughts!! This is a page turner!!!!!!!!!!!! I did think the end was left with so many un-answered questions but at the same time I think she may be setting us up for a sequel, I can only hope!

LONDON - Dozens of headless skeletons excavated from a northern English construction site appear to be the remains of Roman gladiators, one of whom had bites from a lion, tiger, bear or other large animal, archaeologists said Monday.


Experts said new forensic evidence suggests the bones belong to the professional fighters, who were often killed while entertaining spectators.


Most of the skeletons were male and appeared stronger and taller than the average Roman, with signs of arm-muscle stress that suggest weapons training that began in the men's teenage years.

Argh............

Why the pirate???? Well let me tell you this is more about an eye patch..................
So....let me start by saying I have always had crazy long and thick eye lashes, I never wore false one's to perform in because my real ones were the same length and I get a ton of compliments. Well.........I have noticed lately my right eye seemed thin so upon inspection I have noticed that towards the inner corner of my eye I am down to like 1 row. I mean a couple of rows of my eye lashes are gone and I look bald! I mean if I loose this last row then I will literally have one eye half bald! I know this is trivial and stupid but good gosh what if they don't come back???? What could possibly of happened???????
Suggestions???????????? I don't want to be a pirate and wear a patch! lol
