Isn't a purpose of reading to escape? I love reading about a new "place" and being transported there....here is the deal.... The House of Night is essentially a vampyer (that is how they spell em) finishing school, in this world becoming one is a genetic anomaly that has been around since forever and when you become a teen some kids are "marked" and they have to leave their life to go to this school for 4 years (freshman to senior). I know it sounds weird but it is SOO good. Zoey Redbird realizes she is no ordinary "vampyer" and these 7 books follow her and the drama that enfolds as she becomes a vampyer and finds love.
Something else neat? The writers are from Oklahoma and these books are based in Tulsa.... it is so neat to read about places and actually know what & where they are talking about!!!! I am on book 4 of 7 and I have been able to read all 4 in less than 2 weeks ! These are a fun escape from reality and I highly recommend them!
ps...........a movie is in the works!
